You also need...
Not bad. Has just enough room to get some of the sundry tucked away. Think end table. The top is kinda flatish but not sure if Id’s trust it with glassware. A plastic glass is probably safe. VERY easy to assemble but also a bit too easy to pop apart. You also need to get some sand to weight the thing, we bought a 20lb bag & used a bit more then 3/4 of it in the base. I also got a big tube of clear caulk & hit all the inner edges soundly & around the base on the outside. Gave it a couple days to cure & out into the weather it went. So far it’s only gotten some drizzle & freezing rain (thank you Canada, you can have your weather back now) but so far it’s doing ok. The hammock & remainder of sand bag that I tossed in there just cause are so far still dry. Still has to go through thunder storm season before Id give it a glowing review but with the extra work I had to put in it may actually do it.Update Feb 2022:It has survived so far. It’s tucked into an uncovered corner so it’s semi shielded from weather. Ive got it packed pretty full & it’s still mostly dry in there. I wouldn’t put anything sensitive in there but if it can deal with sticky icky humidity it’s probably fine. I have also used it as a table top several times but still wouldn’t trust it with nice glassware. It went through an attic Vortex, the tsunami spring, mosquitogeden, tornado season, record highs, & a very COVID Christmas. I am worried a bit about spiders nesting in it over winter so you may yet hear me scream come warmer temps when I crack it open.Final conclusion: despite the extra effort to make sure of it’s usability I would buy again. I would also make sure to do all the extra effort again. No idea how to guarantee a spider free existence.Summer 2022We had some work done on the house & one of the workmen busted it. Grr. So I patched it up & put it by the back door under the awning where it’s protected but can still store things. Got a replacement. This time I glued it with some E 6000 and let it cure for a few days before caulking it to make it weather resistant.so yes they can be damaged but it took an uncaring workmen & not standard midwestern weather to do it. with proper sealing techniques that don’t come with it will resist most midwestern weather while keeping your stuff safe. it’s been through all but the worst our state can throw at it & come out fine. i imaging a tornado would probably be its downfall & if we ever get enough rain again for it to rain sideways it’ll probably get the top stuff damp. But yes I did buy again, did do all the extras again. Next time I’ll probably get bigger just because even the busted one is holding things so I’ll probably need more space by then.

very important: make sure it clicks!
It is very sturdy once assembled, but I can see where others have had problems. The issue is, you absolutely must push the panels in until they click. If you don't hear/feel a click, it isn't fully seated and isn't secure, and will probably come apart as soon as you pick it up. Every single piece clicks into place. I found the front and back to be pretty easy, the sides were much harder. I had to put most of my weight into it to get them to seat into place and click. So if yours falls apart, try again and make sure it clicks this time!

Looks like it would work
This product was received with a damaged lid . Box inside the shipping box was severely damaged on one end .Perhaps it was a return? Not sure . I was able to put it together quickly and really bummed it was damaged. It was expensive and too damaged to live with it . I will try again …I plan to use it for charcoal and various grilling tools…

Solid deck box ... if assembled right
Boy am I glad I didn't read the reviews before I bought this ... I was desperate for something that would store items outside (trash bags, gardening gloves, bug spray, etc.) without buying a pricey, high-end deck box. This fit the bill. And I trust the Rubbermaid brand, so I bought without reading reviews. I would buy it again. The pros: spacious, for its size; dog-proof; inconspicuous (very dark brown color); sturdy; doubles as a seat when not open. The cons? Assembly was like a game of Twister. If you assemble this thing correctly, meaning ensuring that each piece is locked in (it's plastic, so you have to really put pressure on each panel) and are willing to have someone help you or can hold multiple panels up at once, then the box is absolutely sturdy and relatively weatherproof (haven't had to test it in heavy rain yet). If you want it to stay put even when empty, fill the bottom with sand (there's a valve on the bottom for this). I can see how some reviewers may have struggled with assembly, and if you get the assembly wrong, the deck box will topple offer. The lid is very secure (sticks a bit when opening it, which I prefer over it opening too easily), so if the walls aren't locked in, the lid will lift them out of the bottom panel. All in all, I'd buy a couple more of these to keep around my yard for hoses, dog toys, and various items I'd rather not store in the garage, but still want to protect from the elements in the yard.

Large Deckbox
This deckbox was easy to assemble and the right size for what we needed to store outdoors.

The lid won’t stay open. Other than that, it’s a good product..
Don’t like mechanism that’s supposed to keep lid from falling down. Cheap and doesn’t work. My husband will buy proper hardware and make his own.

FALLS APART
This is the second time I have purchased this item and it's the same problem. If you put anything in it with any pressure the thing completely comes apart. Not broken , as you can put it back together, but collapses. All I put in it is the cover for my lawn chairs and sometimes as simple as opening it and the sides all fall down. Yes it's Rubbermaid but it's design should be more sturdy.

not weather proof
I was disappointed with this item. I thought it would be a solid box but it comes in six piece so each edge has join. It is not weather proof. Three days after setting it up it rained and everything inside got soaking wet. It also falls apart if it is knocked too hard.

Really happy with this product!
I bought this item when looking for a container to store pool towels in on the deck. Other reviews complained this item was horrible and they were returning, but for me, I didn’t really care if I had to silicone it together, given the purpose I needed it for and the price point it came in at. Turns out, if you follow the instructions and push the pieces together until they “click”, the container holds together perfectly with no need of silicone to hold it. It is sturdy and easy to assemble, only containing 5 pieces that all snap together. You can put sand in the bottom as well, if you need to weigh it down.Even after a week of heavy rain, my towels have remained dry and the container is serving the purpose it was intended for. I am extremely pleased with this product and just purchased another to keep all the pool supplies in.

What I wanted
I bolted it to my deck and use it for deliveries from Amazon and Meals on Wheels. Very happy with it.

Good small deck storage box.
After ordering the first time and having my order canceled by Amazon due to lack of inventory, I ordered another one and I am happy with the look and it seems like it will be durable. A bit stubborn to snap the pieces in place. But finally got it. We put our hot tub toys in it.
