SANSHA Soho Lace-Up Jazz Shoe

My son is in theatre at his school and needed a good pair of jazz shoes to use for his roles in Saturday Night Fever and Cats. He is not a dancer outside of what he has learned in theatre, so he didn't own any dance shoes. He chose these because they look "more like street shoes" than the others did. His teacher/director was very impressed with these shoes and told the other students about them. They fit exactly as described in the size chart and he reports they are very comfortable and easy to dance in. He is very pleased with them, so I am very pleased with this purchase. I would highly recommend them to others who may not need dance shoes on a daily basis but need a gooid, comfortable, reasonably priced pair.

Never danced before. But these are good quality shoes. Very well manufactured. My feet are comfortable while messing up each and every step for two hours each lesson. The ladies in the class were amazed that I found a size to fit my size 14 flippers I have as feet. I got the 19M. They were a bit tight at first but after about 10hours they fit perfect and are very comfortable. Too bad they don't teach my feet to be in the right place at the right time. I gave it 4 stars because I had to secure some seams to withstand my 233lb frame.. These poor shoes are gonna take such punishment.

New favorite west coast swing practice shoes! It’s like dancing in socks (without the holes in your socks and the blisters on your feet from spins). These are fabulous for practicing or social dancing. My “proper” west coast shoes either make my toes go numb and blister my heels (heeled sandals) or turn my big toe into a giant bruise and blister my heel (men’s/unisex shoes). These are sweet relief. Especially for weekend events where I’m dancing for 16 hours a day!!

I used these for a production of Newsies and they were wonderful!!! The heel comes away from your foot, which is a bit odd, but they did the job. With heavy wear and excessive dancing they do wear holes in the toes, and on the sides, but the double layer of canvas prevented my foot from meeting the stage. I was able to die them brown with Rit Dye, but had to color the rubber with Sharpies and paint pens, and replace the shoe laces with black ones. Other than that, they lasted for about 3 months with heavy dancing. They are wonderful!

These are dance shoes, I wouldn't expect arch support. I purchased them because they resemble extant boots from the 1840s. I needed appropriate shoes for my Dickens Fair costume and these couldn't be more perfect. Taking in all the reviews, I ordered a 13M--I usually wear a 7W in mens' shoes. I measured my foot length with a ruler and added a bit for the width, and they are perfect. I am looking forward to breaking them in and the Fair!

Great for the price paid...Not expensive craftmanship either though, just a good value. I cannot really complain. Do order wayyyyyy larger than your street shoe. I usually wear 8.5 to a 9, ordered 10 and fits like a glove. Allow width to be a real consideration also, I am never a W but the M fits me almost narrow like. Just a forewarning.

My daughter needed these for a musical theatre production. They were great, my only concern was how quickly they developed holes (since they are just canvas) I would have preferred the leather ones but the costume designer required this specific style/brand. My daughter wore them for one week of tech & dress rehearsals (in theater & green room only - never outside) and they had holes in them before opening night! I was able to repair them with gorilla glue and a few stitches, - after repair, they held up for all 7 performances. Overall they were great and were very cute for the period piece she was in, just don't expect them to hold up very long if you will be doing a lot of dancing and movement (or buy a backup pair!) Also, they run small - we sized up one size from her normal jazz shoe size and they fit perfectly.

The sizing of these shoes are extremely poor! I have no idea what chart they use! My daughter wears a size 6.5 so I purchased the 7 and paid for overnight shipping. Three purchases later (overnight shipping) we ended up with a size 10!! She needed them for a musical. I even measured her foot with a ruler and used the sizing chart and that didn't work! We probably could have used the 11, but ran out of time. Thank goodness for free returns! Otherwise, the product is great for school productions and exactly what she was required to purchase and priced much better than anything we could find locally.

Used the sizing chart and tried to follow peoples recommendations but the shoes were way too small on my first attempt. Thankfully amazon is awesome and I returned them and ordered a larger size and while they still fit a tad small they will do. Hard to find this style of shoe elsewhere and the size options are pretty limited. So FYI, I normally wear a size 9 womens street shoe, and the size 10 is still a bit snug for me.
