Roland Lychees In Heavy Syrup, 20 Oz

These canned lychees are fantastic! I originally bought them to make lychee martinis, and they have been perfect every time. The fruit is sweet, juicy, and flavorful, and the syrup adds an extra burst of lychee flavor to cocktails. They taste fresh, are consistently good quality, and make it so easy to create restaurant-quality drinks at home. I’ll definitely be ordering these again!

Lychee are not exactly something we come across in the stores like most fruits, so I like to order a can or two every once in awhile. They are naturally very sweet to begin with, so sometimes they are even sweeter when they come in the can because of the heavy syrup so keep that in mind. Lychee are a small delicate and have an interesting texture to them. It might feel a little gelatinous to some I think. I feel once you bite into it and it fills your mouth with its sweet juices, you won’t care, trust me you will want more. I usually end up opening the can and eating it right away, but I have used the syrup and juice from inside the can for sweetening a tea or lemonade. You could use it for anything it’s very versatile. I feel like the quantity is adequate, usually is, it’s about the same in any can of lychee I have bought no matter the brand. Do I wish every can came with more, absolutely, but either way lychee are my favorite and it’s nice to be able to find them and enjoy them.

I tried the Roland Whole Lychees in Heavy Syrup and honestly… such a little luxury moment in a can. The lychees are soft, juicy, and naturally sweet, with that delicate floral flavor that just feels different from your usual fruits. Yes, they’re in syrup, so they’re definitely on the sweeter side, but that’s exactly what makes them feel like a treat. I love keeping these for those moments when I want something quick but still a little elevated. I’ve added them to drinks, fruit bowls, and even just enjoyed them straight from the can (no shame 😂). For me, it’s giving “stay at home but make it feel fancy.” Simple, sweet, and a nice way to switch things up. If you like trying new flavors or want an easy way to upgrade your snacks or drinks, these are definitely worth it.

If you're already familiar with Lychee fruit, then the quality should meet flavor expectations for the canned variety. They're already peeled and cored and easy to add to your dish or cocktail as needed. They are high in sugar, but strangely to my palette they don't feel as sweet as other fruits, maybe because the flavor profile is less acidic, YMMV.

The can was delivered totally Damaged! No to do damaged am bent in I can’t even open it. Would not recommend purchasing this. I believe they’re all like this. Second time purchasing and it was the same way.

Having never used lychee before I took the lazy route and bought it online to use in some cocktail recipes. I have since found it in 2 supermarkets for a fraction of the price. I was told by my guests that the taste is authentic (having never tasted lychee before) and sweet enough to use for cocktails in lieu of simple syrup. There is way more in the can than I used so I froze the remainder, and will find other uses for it.

Great for lychee martinis. Way cheaper and easier to use than raw lychees.
