Worth the crazy price.
I'm living out of my van and wanted just one pan that could do it all and last a life time with minimal matnence. When useing a small backpacking stove most pans get a hot spot from the intense small flame pattern but this pan disperses that intense small flame very nicely. The fact that it is welded and not riveted is very nice and I didn't think I would like that as much as a do. I was testing out and all clad pan of same size and also 5 ply before this one. The all clad did not disperses heat as evenly. And the handel design was uncomfortable this handel is extremely comfortable. Those 2 pans are my first experience with stainless pans so all clad food stuck much more than with this pan but I'm not sure if it it's because I have learned to cook better on stainless since my testing or if the demeyre is just better about foods sticking. Also all clad acts like it's made in USA but they make there Handel's in China I hate the deceptive marketing and it made me not like the brand I would much rather have something made in a country I respect like Belgium it just makes me like the pan more on an emotional level. It is a bit more heavy than I like or am used to but for a small 8 inch pan it's not a big deal I can see it being an issue with larger pans though but I like to move the pans around a lot while I cook. It was expensive but if your a buy once cry once type of guy or gal than I think anyone would be very happy with this pan only complaint is the weight but I don't think that is fault of company it's just what is needed to get that even heat and heat retention. One day when I'm not living in my van I'll get another pan in larger size for sure.

The Best
Excellent solid product. Cleans up way more easily than other stainless steel. Very even heat distribution. Solid and feels good in the hand. Best cookware.

Perfect!
Just received it and cooked my first eggs on it. It was my first time on a stainless steel pan. Did water fall test and a splash of oil on mid/high heat. They didn't stick as much as I expected. It was relatively easy to move the eggs around and made the best tasting sunny side up I've ever tasted.I loved how stable it felt in my hand. It was heavier than my Fissler non-stick ceramic pan but it felt much more solid. It's a perfect size to cook 2 eggs or pancakes or 1-2 portions of stir fry. It might even be possible to bake some scones in the oven.

This works like a dream!
I own several All-Clad and 2 of them actually warped on me even being careful not to put cold liquids in a hot pan. Thought I would give this a try, it's not that well known in the US, it's so much better. First of all, no rivets on the inside so cleaning it is a breeze. Secondly, no warping, third, has a beautiful silvery finish, looks brand new. It's a whiter metal looking than stainless steal if that makes sense. Also, like the handle, not a fan of the all-Clad handle with the u-shape extrusion. It just dose not feel natural to me. It also has higher side walls which keep things from spilling over so easily. The only down side is it's a little smaller in diameter than other brands if comparing say a medium size pan to a competitors medium size pan.

Love this pan
Thick study heats well and the best part NO RIVETS! Why aren't all pans welded? It DOES NOT COST MORE TO WELD. Its cheaper. Less materials used with spot welding handles on to pans. Comfortable handle too. Good balance.
