AISIN GENUINE WPT-803 New Engine Water Pump with Gaskets - Compatible with Select Lexus ES350, RX350, RX450h Toyota Camry, Highlander, RAV4, Sienna, Venza

I am not rich so i wanted to do this job with as little $$$ as possible. Since the Dealership wanted almost $1700 for this job, i decided to tackle the job my self. I spent a whole week watching YouTube videos on how to install this water pump on my 2013 Toyota Highlander 3.5L Limited 4WD with 150,000 miles.. The noise coming out of the water pump was becoming unbearable especially in the morning when I start the car. My neighbors could hear the annoying grinding noise every morning and i am sure they loved it :) Anyways, I originally bought a Gates Water Pump (WH061821 from Amazon but realized that I had a small leak after installing the water pump. I tried to diagnosing the leak and took the water pump apart again, cleaned the mating surface, used thread sealer on the long bolts but this didn't work. I realized the Gates water pump gasket may be the problem so i decided to by an OEM water pump. I saw the AISIN WPT-803 New OEM Water Pump Kit on Amazon and read all of the reviews and deiced to but it. I received the ASIN WPT-803 in about 3 days and it took me at least 6 hours to do the job. It's been almost a week and I have no single leak and no more grinding annoying noise and my neighbors are now waving and saying hello to me again :). Things you need to know before you do this job: Don't just change the water pump when you do this job. Put some efforts and cash to it and change the serpentine belt, the tensioner and idler pulley, and the thermostat. also invest in a small toque wrench (I didn't have this the first time and I believe I over tightened the bolts and this may have caused the metal gasket to break and leak). You need to raise the engine a little bit on the passenger side...just unbolt the head bolt to the mount but no need to completely remove the bolt or the mount. I also remove the 3 bolt under the front/middle mount but I did not remove the mount itself. Overall, the AISIN WPT-803 New OEM Water Pump Kit is solid and a good fit for my Toyota Highlander. The price was reasonable and worth it! The job wasn't really hard but you need to be patient and be sure to have all of the tools you need before starting the job.

This is the upgraded version of the OE water pump that comes in Toyota siennas, everything fit as it should and seems to be working great. Hopefully the upgraded version will outlast the original version but only time will tell. The Toyota service manual says the engine needs to be pulled to do this job, there are a few videos on the Internet that show you how to do it without doing that. The process involves removing the upper torque mount and the nuts from the lower engine mount and jacking up the engine from the oil pan with a block of wood. It's still a timely process, but for the total cost of a little less than $200 for the water pump and the coolant you save a lot of money if you're able to do it yourself instead of paying someone. Just be sure while you have everything undone to inspect your serpentine belt and pulleys because some of those may be due to be changed out also.

The waterpump on my girlfriend's 2008 Toyota Highlander V6 is making a loud rumbling noise. I watched many youtube videos with how to replace it. I spent the whole weekend Saturday and Sunday working on it. After I completed the job, test drive, no leaks, the water pump is so quiet. Victory!! This is a $1700 job at the dealership or $1200 at local shops. I saved my gf a lot of money there. The part actually has the "Toyota" engraving but it was scraped off or piled out. The same spot where the old one has it. Not sure why is that. I can tell this is an OEM part and AISIN is a part distributior. Thanks.

This water pump is the newer version of Aisin water pump and look exactly like the original toyota one with a notable improvement. The hub of the water pump is notched at the right places so that during installation the pulley can be wiggled around with a much higher degree to provide the MUCH NEEDED room to install (tighten, and torque wrenched) with the right torque specs. For 2GRFE engines such as the one on my 2015 toyota sienna, it made the installation of the new replacement pump much easier than removing the old original one. The logo for Toyota has been grinded away at the factory so it is sold as Aisin brand. It fits exactly the same with OEM quality. I woild highly recommend this part to anyone who would want to DIY on replacing the water pump. No leak and worked perfectly for the road trip we had. It came with the two gaskets that are needed for the thermostat body and engine.

Always go with the 1st tier! It has been a while and there is still no leak...

Great oem part came with gasket and o rings although the the thickness of the larger one is too thin and won’t stay in the groove so I reused the original figure it’s thicker than the replacement and was in good shape I couldn’t get the replacement one to stay in place while lining up the water pump it’s back together no leaks working as it should

This part is The OEM without the Dealer markup. My old (Original since new) water pump also was branded Aisin. This is a challenging project on a 2007 Toyota Sienna Van due to space constraints but CAN be accomplished without removing the engine (See tutorials on youtube). The engine is the V6, 3.5 liter, the only engine for this year and model. The same engine and waterpump fit a number of other Vehicles. On the van the waterpump belt sheave is almost dead center on the vehicle frame and so as others did, i placed the car on jack stands in the front and then used my floor jack to raise the engine just a bit for clearance once the passenger side motor mount was removed (see tutorials). I did not have to remove tires or any underside components. A broad selection of metric sockets and wrenches Including ratcheting box end wrenches, extensions, and a torque wrench reading in inch-pounds are Highly recommended. I am a not a professional mechanic, but I am very experienced with automotive and industrial heavy equipment mechanics and have a professional level of tooling. It took me about 6 hours in a shop setting (i’m slow but thorough). P.S. i did NOT use any RTV sealant on the included new waterpump gasket. I did not see any on the original gasket either. So far so good. (My waterpump leak was from the waterpump shaft seal (weap hole). The bearings had gone after approx 270,000 miles). FYI: I DID use RTV Sealant on the waterpump bolts threads.
