Worth every penny
I do not usually write reviews but on this product I must. I wanted to improve my aim and improve my technique so I bought the Mantis X3, along with a laser bullet, and I am glad I did. Though I am still far from perfect after 10 days I have improved my average score from the mid 50's to the high 80's. I love the numerous drills it puts one through with feedback on trigger pull, pushing, healing, grip tightening, follow through etc. This has all been dry firing so I can't wait to get back to the range and put what I have learned with live firing.Well worth the money and saves on practice ammo also.

Surprisingly worth it
Was a little skeptical if I'd actually like it, but I've been having a good time with it. I feel its helping me get a smoother trigger pull after only a few days. One thing to note is this device doesn't care about how accurate your shot may be. It only evaluates your shot technique. Gives you tips, charts, and drills to make you faster and smoother. If you want to test accuracy and not care about technique then get the laser training academy. It only focuses on accuracy and maybe speed. They can both be used at the same time for a complete package, but I haven't got the money to buy the academy yet. Overall, it actually makes practicing more fun and changes stuff up a bit.

Money saver, real feedback.
Great tool. I'm certain that in my first evening of practice I covered the price of this unit in ammo not used.I have long been a believer in dry fire practice, this unit takes it to another level.Finished basic combat, good drills. Really fun. Maybe too much emphasis on accuracy over speed, but that quibble.I do take some exception to the "advice" regarding the trigger break being a "surprise." Good for target shooting, not for combat shooting IMO. Also, with a Glock, you're going to know when that terrible trigger will break. Every, Time. Lol

Very good for learning your triggers pull.
Repetition is key for a good trigger pull and ultimately a good shot. I don't have time to shoot every day, but I got 15 minutes to pull a trigger 50 times. You will definitely get a more stable handed trigger pull if you do this every day.

Great training aid, but...
This is a great training aid. I have always incorporated dry fire training as part of my firearms training regimen. This Device enhances dry fire training adding tips, training suggestions, and records performance to monitor your progress. It also measures very small movements in your grip and trigger pull that you may not notice without it. So it's a more objective feedback on how well your training is going. There are some cons though. On some of my guns it confuses other movement for a trigger pull. For example if you have a thumb safety with a stiff detent, or a very light trigger pull. I have several guns to choose from and it works great with some and unusable with others. But what if you only own one gun? This could be a problem if your gun has one of these issues and there really isn't any way to know before you purchase.Another problem is that it doesn't perform well under live fire training. There is a version that is only $99 on the manufacturer website. If I had it to do over I would buy that version since paying extra for the live fire capability is not really worth the additional cost. Unfortunately this is the only version I saw on Amazon.Overall it's a good product and makes dry fire training more effective and more fun too.

Great tool for improving your accuracy and hold on your weapon.

Excellent way to improve your shooting.
Excellent way to improve your shooting, well worth the money. I recently started working for our Sheriff Department. At 40 hour training, I qualified with handgun with a score of 88. Today at requalification, I shot a 97/100. Mantis really helped me improve my scores with all dry firing.

Work well. As described it is for training. Got snap caps to go with it dry fire only.

The real deal. Excellent sensor, excellent app. Works for whatever you can mount it on. Handgun, hunting rifle, shotgun. Whatever. RCMP use this to practice their dry fire during training.
