Works like a charm with pre filters
our use of this is for maple syrup when used with three pre filters this produced a nice clear syrup as long as you keep it clean and maintain it properly.

Exactly as described - removes nitre (nutrients and minerals in the sap which need to be filtered out for flavor and color - mostly potassium nitrate) from your finished syrup.

Worked perfectly for filtering our maple syrup. Be sure to use the pre-filters and preheat right before you pour the syrup in. We had to learn the hard way since we are beginners but got it down now.
