Love It!!! (Update - Quit working!)
I really, really like this product. I saw the negative reviews and decided to ignore them, because I previously had a Kitchen Selectives Dual Carafe coffee maker for quite some time (more that 10 years) and love the fact that I can make two pots of coffee - one decaf and one regular. We have a household that has different coffee drinkers thus making the dual coffee pot an excellent system. Also, I have a very large family who are always stopping by. So the Kitchen Selectives has been a great purchase. And we have had it for a very long time. Then one glass pot got broken. And more recently, the second pot got a crack in the glass. My choices were to purchase two new Kitchen Selectives glass carafes (which by the way, I could not find), buy another brand of carafes and hope they work, or just purchase a whole new system. I did know from my first carafe breaking that if you don't get the right size carafe to replace the broken one, you will have a big mess in the kitchen with water everywhere. I found that out the hard way. So, I chose to buy a new Kitchen Selectives new dual carafe system. And I am so happy I did. I've had it almost a month now with only one mishap. After rinsing the removable coffee filter, I did not put it back in correctly and I had a mess. However, I learned to put it in correctly and have not had a problem since. Also just because it has a removable coffee filter, I still purchase the paper filters too.UPDATE - Our unit quit working just a couple of months shy of two years. One morning I got up to make coffee and nothing. I thought it was the outlet; but, no such luck. I really truly loved my previous Kitchen Selectives Dual Carafe coffee maker that we had for over 10 years and I hoped this one was of the same level. It wasn't.

2 pots at a time
We had this previously for our Sunday School classroom. It eventually wore out and we needed a new one, after much searching I found this one and it is pretty much the same thing and brand.Benefit you can make a pot of decaf and a pot of reg at same time....or just make two pots of whichever you choose. Low cost alternative if you need about 25 cups of coffee at a time.Unfortunately, both pots tend to leak around the spout due to the shape of the glass pouring spout. Very difficult to pour without making a mess.

Cheap plastic
This is so cheaply made that the tabs for the coffee filter basket and the water tank lids are broken. Purchased this for church use and the kitchen crew could not get one of the filter baskets to sit properly nor get one of the water tank lids to close properly. After further inspection discovered the tabs were broken. I would not recommend this product. They also do not refund the shipping costs. I will not ever buy from this buyer again. I wish I would have headed all the one and two star reviewers. They are correct. This is not worth the cost.Update: Amazon refunded the shipping costs and taxes associated with the purchase. Still would not recommend this product nor the seller.

Honest Review
The more coffee grounds you put in, the less of it will end up in your coffee. Small amounts of grounds seem to go straight into your cup. Excellent brewing-makes coffee hot quickly. Safety Turn Off is built into unit-after being hot for hours, it turns itself off. Quick and easy to clean. Good product for the office. Not made for home use.

Perfect for us
We love this coffee maker. We always make two pots, one regular, one decaf and it is so nice to have them together in one nice looking appliance instead of having two. It has no bells or whistles, no timer or preset but it makes good coffee and that’s all we need. We have purchased this 4 times now, over the years. One time it stopped working for no apparent reason and they replaced it at no cost. Great Customer service. You have to make sure the basket is set right in the slot or it overflows but that’s easy when you realize this. The burners can get uckily if you let the drips sit, so we always notice my side stays nice, longer. I wipe each time. Hubby’s side gets worn and uckily eventually because he doesn’t. For the price, it’s affordable to replace every three years or so.

A Great Buy That CAN Last For Years
I read some bad/poor reviews about this product, but this is my second one, and I love it. I agree that the plastic that's used to make it is thinner than what's on most coffeemakers, but it's reflected in the price. With regard to the top lid warping, I would suggest the following: Don't open the top lid immediately. Allow the machine to cool for about 45 minutes. Then you can open the lid, remove what's in the basket (coffee, tea bags, etc), and close the lid without a warping problem. The lid easily snaps back into place. Just for anyone's info, I didn't see the following problem on a review, but my husband put the carafes from the old machine in the dishwasher. This caused the silver band at the bottom of the carafe to rust between the band and the glass carafe. Now, we always hand-wash and dry our carafes. It takes a little extra time and care, but this well-priced coffee (or tea) maker will last for years.

its like the water cant get thru the coffee and filter ...
we bought this in May for our small office (35 people). worked really well until recently. the past month multiple times the water overflows the filter and comes out the bottom of the coffee maker and about 1/2 into the coffee pot. we have tried everything, but the filter appears to be seated properly and the pot is correct. but someone noticed that the water coming thru the filter was really low volume and that's when they saw the filter filled with water and overflowing the system. its like the water cant get thru the coffee and filter so it fills the filter and overflows. It happens at least once a week. it may be one of us, but since i cant tell what is causing the problem, we dont know if its the coffee maker or something we are doing.

Works well, could be a little hotter.
Functions well, however the coffee is not very "hot" if you drink it right away once it is done brewing. You have to leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes in order for it to really heat up to "piping hot" temperature which is the way I like my coffee.
