Nummyware Plastic-free Glass Food Container with Sustainable Bamboo Top (2260mL)

Whoa, I am not one to write many reviews. Mainly because I am too lazy or I read other comments and I “take note” but this product has inspired me to sit down and type a few words.This set of glass containers; with BEAUTIFUL bamboo lids are fantastic. It is nice to see a well-made product that is PLASTIC FREE and yet, easy to store, stacks nicely and most importantly, you can use in an oven or microwave…..certainly beats heating up plastic!I highly recommend this product and encourage you to purchase and spread the word, you will not be disappointed.Cheers and happy shopping!

I bought this set a couple of months ago and I'm in love. The peace of mind of using products that are good for the environment is priceless to me. They are sturdy, easy to clean and I have gotten a lot of compliments as they also look great.I also had the chance to interact with their client service (one of the glass containers broke as it fell from my hands) and it was replaced for free. AWESOME service! I can't reccomend them enough! I finally found a container that will last ages. No more broken plastic lids and useless glass containers!! Thank you for a great product.

We bought these to replace the plastic Tupperware in our home in an effort to make some changes to products that are more durable and eco-friendly. I love that these have bamboo lids and the glass is very thick. They are very easy to clean, durable and sturdy. I have 2 issues that I would caution others on.1. The lids do not sit flat on the top of the glass containers, they seal and sit INSIDE the container and take up space that could otherwise be used for storage, which is a bummer. It would be as much of an issue but....2. 3 of the 4 containers are actually pretty small. I’ve posted pictures using a container of salt for reference, the smallest container could hold maybe 8-9 chunks of pineapple or olives. It’s that small. From the smallest to largest the containers (after the lid is on) range from 1”-2-5” deep. These are cute and can hold small amount of leftovers. Keeping that in mind, if that’s what you’re looking for these are great. If you’re a person who typically has a lot of leftovers, you might be better served purchasing containers with more space. I would LOVE to see these in much larger sizes for purchase.

I bought these as our family works to transition away from plastics in our household. They are gorgeous! The bamboo lids are so stylish and make the containers really easy to stack and store. The seals seem to work well, as you hear the little vacuum pressure "hiss" when you push them on. Sizes are a nice variety to accommodate most of our leftovers. I plan to give these as wedding gifts in the future. Great gift and great purchase! I had one tiny tear in one of the seal rings upon purchase. The company was very responsive and sent a replacement out right away!

Was looking for quality, see-through, no-plastic storage options. These are great. Versatile, sturdy. Easy to see what's inside. The bamboo tops fit nicely (wouldn't turn them upside down and shake, but for general use they stay well). They look beautiful. Don't take up much space since everything is stackable when full with lids on or, when storing, the different sized containers fit inside of each other / lids stacked on top. They look so nice that it's easy to go from storage/fridge to table. I don't think I'd put the lids in an oven, but easy to bake casseroles for one or two in the glass container and take straight to the table. I love these.

The lid rocks on the glass container and doesn't seal tightly. As you can see in the photo the lid is higher on the ends and sways in the middle. I removed the seal to take the photo. This is the second time I have ordered this item. I was very pleased with the first one and is the reason I ordered the second one. I might add I did not put the lid in the dishwasher. I am past the time I can return it or I would have done so just to have it replaced. I do like this product and what it stands for ( no plastic) but now I'm going to have to seal it with plastic wrap when I use it. Any advice on how to fix this rocking lid?

I was looking for durable, sustainable food storage to replace all my mismatched plastic storage containers. I thought these were beautiful, and I liked that there was a larger size available than those offered by other companies producing similar products. Unfortunately, I spent over $100 on multiple pieces, in hopes of these lasting a long time, but none of these are holding up as I imagined they would. Some of the lids warped almost immediately, not from washing (I have only hand washed and dried these to try to prevent warping), but from the moisture of the foods that were stored in them. The lids also retain the smells of the food that was in them long after washing, which really bothers me. One lid developed a large splinter on it's edge, which broke off, and the glass chipped on one edge, despite careful hand and dishwashing, and not allowing the edges to touch any hard surfaces or other glass in the dishwasher. Additionally, these never sealed very tightly. I understand that silicone gaskets roll, and have to be adjusted from time to time, but even when taking this into account, the lids do not create an air tight or leak proof seal. After owning these for a few months, I am already looking for a replacement for these underperforming storage containers. I hope the company will look at ways to make improvements to their products in the future so they are not just beautiful, but truly functional as well.

The wood lids are not microwavable or dishwasher safe

Schalen sind bei mir aus Glas mit Holzdeckel und Gummidichtung. Gut verpackt und nichts kaputt.Nutze die Schalen für den Kühlschrank und zum Essen aufwärmen in der Mikrowelle. Bei Flüssigem bin ich etwas vorsichtig und mache die Schalen nicht bis zum Rand voll. Da die Deckel aus Holz sind und ich den Holzinnendeckel noch vor Verfärbungen schützen möchte.Der Deckel löst sich bei mir relativ leicht wenn die Schale mit Essen befüllt ist und schräg gehalten wird. Deshalb nutze ich sie ausschließlich daheim. Dafür kann ich sie absolut empfehlen.
