Love this satnav - very clear maps and instructions

I have owned several of these in the past. I thought buying a new one would update the maps. No difference on my old one. But it consigned to a drawer because it will not update its clock. So as I use the time facility in route planning it is useless. I would have contacted the supplier or returned it but I could find no method to do this.Navman, normally 10 put of 10. This one a 3.Amazon for ease of communication, 2 out of 10.

Sadly, this Navman 5000 LM Sat Nav is on its way back to Amazon.I had to borrow a PC (I use Mac) to install the software , so I could backup the device. Once that was done, the maps disappeared. To be seen no more. I tried Reset, Restore and many other options. I have spent many frustrating hours on this dam thing. All have failed. I'm left with a device that isn't up to the job.The one good option, is being able to store routes you use on a regular basis by name. Not road or Postcode. (As in, Cousin George, not 121 Main Road, Southampton etc) This would have been very useful to me.I'm now in a quandry as to what Sat Nav to purchase. I need a reliable one for my work.I would have given half a star had that been available. Mainly for the box!

Great satnav, but the date and time will not update correctly, so sometimes goes into night mode in the daytime! the date can't seem to go past 2014! So if you not bothered about the time been correct on your sat nav, ETA will never be correct! and enter night mode in daytime. There is no way to update it manually as supposed to update automaticaly with gps.

Buon navigatore, ormai questo tipo di prodotti sta tendendo a sparire ma può far sempre comodo averne 1.Credo che questo modello sia destinato ad un mercato europeo e non specificatamente italiano ma comunque si trova sia la lingua ITA che le mappeDo 4 stelle perchè non trovo comodo e funzionale il sistema a ventosa per attaccarlo al vetro

No me gusta, instrucciones muy escuetas, no trae cable para el pc, no he podido actualizar fecha ni hora, la voz para navegar escasa, y de mala calidad, pocas aplicaciones para personalizar. Lo devuelvo.
