ROCCAT RYOS MK Advanced Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, Black CHERRY MX Key Switch

Works flawlessly!... For 3 months and 7 days, then DEAD!Received the product May 27th, lasted until today, September 4th.Suddenly started acting like I had keys held down so I reset the computer and the thumb lights won't even come on.Tried it with multiple computers, it's toast.Really sad, I was just starting to love it combined with an XTD optical for double keyboard and double mouse buttons.WHEN IT WORKED:It worked extremely well. Saving macros, binding keys, modifying mouse commands, thumbster keys; everything worked quickly and fairly intuitively.My only complaints about it's design were the ridiculous, massive, almost novelty size of the whole keyboard itself; and the inability to bind all but 4 buttons to EasyShift(+) doubler buttons.I use ESDF instead of WASD for movement and I would LOVE the left Windows button to be useable as the EasyShift so I could more easily squeek my pinky finger over from shift and turn the strafe left-right keys into lean left-right keys. Or whatever else.I even tried going back to WASD for almost a month, but it still was a bad place.I just found it (EasyShift) not very usable at CapsLock, and only used it at the thumbsters unless I was just typing.I didn't really need a new keyboard, but the EasyShift+KoneXTD capabilities are pretty powerful and were enough to get 100$ out of me.Would've been more than worth it if it had only lasted longer.But it didn't.At first I was kicking myself for not getting the RyosMK PRO with all the bells and whistles when I saw how awesome this thing really was.Now I'm glad I didn't.*UPDATE Sept 29*So I finally took it all apart, and rather violently as I didn't notice some of the "plastic tabs" I was breaking were actually screws hidden under the rubber feet until they were almost all broken.I didn't notice anything obviously wrong on the inside.I put the whole thing back together, and just for fun before I threw it away, I plugged it back in. It works! It's what I'm typing with right now, and have been for a few days. It even remembers all the old macros and settings from before.My only guess is the grounding wire might not have been making a good contact and I just tightened it, but I did check that and it didn't seem likely.Oh well, bumping the review a star, 1 seems harsh.

as a kind warning, this keyboard is very loud. If you type fast and hard, it will wake the neighborhood. With that out of the way... I love this keyboard! very accurate and I'm actually fond of it's clicky-ness. I can type quite fast on this keyboard and chatting, writing emails and such are very enjoyable. For games, it works very well for me, but if you're one that likes softer touch or flatter keys for gaming, this may not be the keyboard for you.

Does need a bit more force than the brown or reds, but that's expected with the black switch.Keys are solid, not wobbling like on others, and has the least amount of keycap/bottoming-out noiseof all the (mechanical) KBs i've used.

Just a quick note: The third product picture is wrong and misleading, there's no backlight on this model, apart from the T1-T3 keys, and there are no usb ports on the corners.

Looks good and work well

Awesome keyboard, solid and robust. Ideal for anyone looking for a mechanical keyboard without the fancy lights.

El teclado me vino con la distribucion de teclas americana (no se por que en la imagenes viene en aleman). En cuanto a su construccion es muy buena. Es un teclado muy solido, muy grande y muy pesado. Necesitas tener mucho espacio en tu escritorio (y definitivamente que no sea de madera comprimida) practicamente es imposible de mover de su lugar si estas tecleando o jugando.El teclado no es retroiluminado, y las teclas son cherry mx black. Le puedes programar mas que sufcientes macros, y su funcion de usar la tecla de mays como switch de teclas te permite aun mas combinaciones.Defintiivamente la construccion y los materiales estan muy por encima de los demas teclados que puedes encontrar en el pais por ese rango de precios.

Als meine alte Tastatur kaputt gegangen war musste eine neue her. Da ich vorher schon auf der Suche nach einer Tastatur mit mechanischen Tasten war begrenzte sich meine Auswahl schonmal auf einige Wenige. Da ich aber schon eine Maus von Roccat hatte viel die Wahl auf diese Tastatur und ich kann nur sagen das ich begeistert bin. Die Verarbeitung ist Top und wie von Roccat gewohnt sehr Hochwertig. Die Tastatur kam sehr gut verpackt bei mir an und alles was man machen muss ist sie anschliessen und dann kann es auch schon losgehen.Alles in allem eine klare Kaufempfehlung fuer diese Tastatur.
