This book is arranged so even a very new uke-er can get started. Nicely arranged. Easy to follow along.

Easy to follow diagrams for the chords. And simple songs. Would have been nice to have a small pic of the chord fingering on each page but I need to memorize those anyway. And I loved that there are songs I can play with just a couple chords, since I am a beginner ukulele player.

Great book for a beginner ukelele player. Clear pictures for finger placement is easy to learn and progress to other chords. Lots of catchy, easy to learn to play songs that most kids know, making it easy to follow along. My daughter loves to play her ukelele and all the tunes are already in her repertoire :-)

Where's the colored pictures and chord charts???

This is a great book for beginners to practice chord transitions... the tunes are well known and the chords are simple.

Unless you want the lyrics to a lot of commonly known songs, this book is completely useless. It shows the lyrics with some chords above. It's not clear if the lines indicate measures or something else. There are no melodies, no strum patterns and absolutely no "colorful chord charts!" There is a lot of black and white clip art. If you are a beginner this book will not help you in any way.

I knew nothing about Ukelele and wanted to start slow. This book was a perfect introduction. It gets you playing simple songs really fast and it's really fun to practice when you are actually playing something! Hope he releases another one with more songs.

OK if you just want to play songs with three chords on the ukulele. I bought it for a beginners group. There are a lot more chords to learn, you can learn as many as you wish, I would suggest getting a more comprehensive book, and using You Tube to learn to play the ukulele.

For someone who doesn't no the strumming chords like me who can't understand it ie it doesn't tell how many strums down or up etc look elsewhere!! Waste of money !!!
