Smithfield Hometown Original Bacon, Fully Cooked, Ready-to-Eat, 14-16 slices, 4 pack

I sent this to my elderly sister who can't get out to shop. She is truly pleased with the bacon! It was easy for her to prepare, and she was able to get it to the crispness she likes. She LOVES the flavor/taste of the bacon. The boxes are a perfect size. Also, the use by date is really good. It made my day to hear how happy she was!

So easy! It takes a minute to heat up on a frying pan, then sit down and enjoy! Wonderful product!

Never seen bacon sliced so thin, so the mouth feel for me, is offputting.

Product arrives cooked just as described. When you heat it in a skillet, be careful, it burns easily. As I found out the first time! But when I made sure to keep the heat low and watch the bacon constantly, it worked out great. It browned a bit more, and as it cooled got nice and crispy. Even my picky son liked it. I'd buy it again.

It has good taste, sliced very thin, not a lot to each slice.

I have tried every pre-cooked bacon made. Smithfield is BY FAR the very best if you like crispy, not burned bacon. I lay out 3 layers of paper towels on plate, put single slices side by side, then put more PT on top if 2nd layer needed and always before cooking. I have only cooked full packages (it stores fine) and do 2 mins on high in my micro (yours may vary so start w/less & look). They are CONSISTENTLY uniform and are crispy. They’re thin. I ordered here when traveling & couldn’t find in a store. Sorry, but in addition to price, I recommend store due to potential temperature issues with unknown sellers on site. Many or all may be great but there were slight differences in bacon color bought online I haven’t seen in store bought. Just being honest. Not easy to find sometimes.

It is what I expected. The same taste as Hormel's Black Label (Tried them side by side)

regular smithfield bacon is amongst the best out there. this is not. very disappointing. the hormel precooked has more pieces, and is less expensive. it also appears that these pieces are smaller than hormel. update: have gone thru 3 packs. even worse than i first thought. not really precooked, and when i fry it to crisp, shrinkage is down to half the size.
