Wonderful high quality rubber backed play mat. It's made for Fantasy Flight's Journeys in Middle Earth but I bought it for FF's Lord of the Rings Living Card Game. It's 3' x 3' and covers half of my kitchen table so there's no need to buy a small play mat for everybody. This does the job with room to spare! And it's always themed to any game because it's the whole map of Middle Earth! And we can even follow along with the geography of our quest right in front of us. The "Journeys in Middle Earth" logo is very small and way down in the left corner of the mat, so for any purists out there, you can hardly tell you're using another game's mat. Plus, are you not journeying in Middle Earth anyway? We love it! Just as a side note, the mat does not come with a storage tube but it does come packed it its own cardboard box, so it can be easily stored. My dad actually went out and bought a plastic baseball bat holding tube, even made by UltraPro, and it fits perfectly!

This is a very high quality and large map of middle earth. It is beautiful and I would recommend it to anyone who is a middle earth fan, no matter if you have the game or not, although it makes a great addition to the game.

Gorgeous map, Quality gaming surface. Not required to play LOTHR Journeys but a nice enhancement to the game experience. I'd probably have bought it regardless of owning the game as it is really a nice map.

Cant imagine playing without this amazing playmat - looks great, and it makes working with cards and tiles so much smoother.

It was pretty pricey but we like it just to add atmosphere to the gaming session. You don't need this mat/map to play the game.

I use this both for the LOTR:LCG and LOTR:JIME a good size playmat for both with space for three players and the deck in the LCG and the map fits (just about) on it when playing the JIME.
