My husband loves these knives. He's a kitchen manager & uses these in work. He's got 20ish Dalstrong knives and the knife bag.Well worth the money and no cut fingers because they stay sharp.

I bought this knife primarily for slicing homemade bacon because a good length is needed to cut a clean slice. This knife has a good blade, that is a 14-inch blade, a well-formed handle. The whole thing seems to work well. I am quite pleased with it.

First impression was how the hell do I get this out the box? Comes in a nice solid presentation box. Once opened the first thing that grabs your attention is just how big this knife is,Freddie flintsone could of carved a T-Rex leg with this knife. It comes with a good quality knife sheath to protect you from the extremely sharp edge this beast has got. The knife is well balanced with a lovely wooden handle. I've just tested it by slicing a sour dough loaf and it sliced it like it wasn't there.

Look for it’s price it is fantastic. It holds its edge well nice clean cut and isn’t to flexible so it doesn’t wander off its line. Used it to slice roast beef for 180. Did well. Very well.i don’t know how long it’ll last as I have to do a lot of carving but I think it’ll last a few years. And you can’t ask for more. The blade guard is particularly useful and will go a long way to preserving the blade. £39.95 man that’s a good deal. Buy one.

A lovely bit of kit , very sharp and very good at slicing various meats . Have only used it a few times so far and it seems to keep its edge well . It is too long for most kitchen drawers but not a problem as it sits nicely on my magnetic strip on the wall

The quality of dahlstrong knives are exceptional but somehow the knife was already damaged when I took it out of the knife cover.

Superb for carving brisket.

Das Dalstrong Extra lange Tranchiermesser wurde sehr schnell und gut bepackt von Amazon geliefert.Ich habe mit dem Messer 4cm dicke Steaks aus einem argentinischen Roastbeef geschnitten. Das Messer gleitet durch das Fleisch wie durch Butter. Die lange Klinge ist also sehr scharf. Ich konnte das Steak durch die lange Klinge in einem Zug schön gerade abschneiden. Das Messer liegt gut in der Hand. Ich würde es wieder kaufen.

Another 5 star scam. The steel on this knife is described as "German steel." So it could be just a section from an old Volkswagen fender that was stamped out in the shape of a knife blade. That is pretty much what the blade on this knife looks like. It is very flimsy and very cheap looking steel. The top edge of the knife still bears the sharp edges that resulted from being stamped from a piece of sheet metal. This is not the way real knives are made. There is no mention of where this knife was made, but if it had been made in Germany you can bet it would say so.
