Q: What is the difference between these and the stock ones that came with the H500i for example?

The stock case fans are not PWM. They also have difference specs - they have a lower max RPM (1000 vs 1500), use rifle bearings instead of fluid dynamic ones, and have an overall lower airflow rate. Basically they're just cheap fans with the NZXT logo slapped onto them.

Q: Can this light white led

LED white is the default light until you download the app and have multiple RGB. Must have for pc enthusiast.

Q: Do i need to use this nzxt rgb & fan controller for these fans to work with my pc?

Yes, I believe you will need to use their controller. I have owned each set, the old and new controllers each have their own special connectors. I accidentally picked up the wrong controller and the fan did not work properly. I ended up having to trouble shoot the problem, only to locate I had picked up the wrong controller. Once I place the correct controller in place, all issue where then resolved.
