Not impressed with the design of this at all. Plastic parts show all kinds of molding flaws, admittedly the flaws are visible from outside. The assembly design---including the lid mechanism and how all the parts fit together struck me as very flimsy. This could come much more preassembled and still fit in a compact box, but NOOOOO---the manufacturer is cheap and won't do some preassembly that would not take up any additional room in the shipping carton, but would save the buyer aggravation Metal hinge hardware attaches to the molded plastic in very thin unsubstantial structural areas. If you plan to use this frequently---opening and closing the lid A LOT, I'm betting it will not last long without the plastic cracking and breaking at hinge- and attachment- locations. There is a spring piston that holds the cover open---it is cheap plastic and not very balanced. A selling point on Amazon is free shipping: that's because the shipping must be built into the price of the unit which is way more than this unimpressive thing should cost. This is worth about $60, and I don't think it's going to be durable---especially the lid hinge attachment and hardware.

I've been searching for a patio storage box to fit pillows/cushions/towels etc. That could also possibly be used as a table. And although this is wicker looking so therefore not a flat surface this fits the bill. It's MUCH larger than I anticipated but it's wonderful. It matches my lounge chairs in color, and holds my pillows and is so large that I actually but another bin inside it with all our towels rolled up to keep them somewhat organized. PLUS I have worlds of room for more seat cushions that I have coming. It's hinged lid fits secure so everything should keep clean and dry. Only had it a few days so I can't say as to the longevity or how air tight it keeps things yet but I can't foresee any problems. My husband said it wasn't super easy to put together but didn't take too long. Just mentioned the holes not being drilled well but he did fine getting it together. All in all it was well worth the money in my opinion. I had already purchased and sent back two different storage boxes that just were not big enough to hold (1) pillow much less several or anything else. So I'm very pleased with this product.

The box itself is easy to put together. But the hinge will not stay attached to the lid of the box! The screws are too short, and the bracket has holes for the screws in places where there is nothing to screw it to! We put it together and opened it twice and the screws let go! Now I just have a box with a lid - we removed the hinges. A big waste of money!!

This storage unit appears to be of good quality, and is attractive given that it is just a storage box. Assembly is fairly simple if you take your time and carefully read and follow all the instructions. Three screws are provided, 2 long and 1 short. You will need another short one. The lid fits very well providing you don't install the spring piston lid lifter. It is a cheap plastic piece of junk, and is not needed for the box lid to function properly. In fact, the lid operates more easily and closes more evenly if you don't install it. All in all, I'm please with my purchase, but given the manufacturer's lack of attention to detail can't give it more than 4 stars.

Suncast makes good products for the price - this box looks good and is reasonably easy to assemble although it can be exacerbating when the tabs on the panels don't match up properly with the cutouts on the receiving panel - in those cases it takes a lot of patience, strong hands and occasionally a good soft mallet to convince the panels to behave - i have not had the box in a rain storm yet so i can't attest to it's waterproof qualities although previous Suncast boxes have been reasonably water resistant.

This was a waste of money. I have never provided a review like this before but I think it’s only right to warn people. This would have been much better had they not tried to provide a hinge. The assembly calls for screwing short screws into thin plastic so the first time you try and open or close the top the entire mechanism strips from the plastic leaving big holes and rendering the product useless. What a ridiculous design and a waste of money.

This cube is perfect. Well made, great lid. Color is neutral. I got it to cover our small gas generator. It fits perfect. 24x24 width and length.I didnt put the base on so when I'm using the generator I can just pull off the cover. A great buy!

This is just what was needed to store the cushions for our patio furniture. It is just the right size. The unit is not east to assemble and one small error can jeopardize a perfectly assembled unit so that hings just don't fit right. Patience is needed to complete the job.
