Value for money but jointing needs improvement
The Cedar wood is pleasing on the eye. This hive has the potential for a 5 star review but for a couple of issues and the customer service. The joints could have been machined better to give a better fit as they don't push all the way home.Squaring the boxes is not achieved by pushing every corner joint in tight. It probably would have been but for the poor machining. The joints are very tight and using a rubber mallet to tap the joints home, I feared the wood would split.Use a square after assembling each box and push/tap the boxes square before the wood glue sets, otherwise they do not stack squarely on top of each other. As I found out.I used 50mm woodscrews on the corners for extra strength. Best to use small pilot drill bit and also countersink the screw heads to avoid the wood splitting. Also it is a good idea to screw the base to the brood box.The varroa screen needs to be stapled to the base at the entrance and at the rear in order for it to remain flat.I ended up having to plane some height off my entrance reducers, otherwise the brood box will not sit completely flat on the base with the reducer in place. I planed the same thickness as the varroa screen off the entrance reducers. So it seems like the varroa screen height was not taken into consideration by Easibee.I bought 2 hives. 1 hive was missing 1 sheet of foundation and had a warped crown board as they are a bit flimsey. It took 3 emails and a phone call to customer service before they agreed to send me replacements. I look forward to their arrival.I would consider buying this product again and would love to give 5 stars when Easibee improve the machining of the boxes.

Get what you pay for.
Value for money I guess but quality not great. Cutting of many parts was poor. I’ve managed to assemble and deal with quality issues. So I guess you get what you pay for. I’m sure my bees will be fine with it. Just be aware - wood splits way to easily so be very careful when assembling and have lots of wood glue to hand.

Amazing
My First ever bee hive arrived a few days ago It was flat packed so as a complete novice I expected to struggle but it was so well made that every ting fitted together perfectly and the finished result is amazing. I am really proud of it. The written instructions were a bit tricky to follow in places so I used your step by step you tube instructions which were fantastic ... I will definitely buy from you again. Thank you
