Cloud based app for access from everywhere and stable WiFi connection.
This is a really good business grade access point. The setting up of the device is done from the Meraki Go app on your phone and it takes just few minutes to set it up.After that the device will update its firmware and when it is ready to use the LED will go green. The update of the firmware takes some time so be patient. You can change a lot of settings from the Meraki Go app.You can set access limits for each user ,you can set limits for all users and even set limits by applications. So if you don't want the users to use social media websites or play online games - you can block that. You can set landing page for the access point,so the user will go to this page when connected to the access point. The Meraki Go app is Cloud based so you can change any settings of the access point any time from everywhere. You can set to receive email and push notifications when the device is offline for more than 5 minutes. You can add more admins on the management panel ,so more than one network admins can change any settings from their phones. The only downside is that you do everything from you phone. There is an IP based web access as well ,but it is limited to changing channel and power for both 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz.You can also change settings for proxy server if you use one,you can run speed test between your device and the access point and also you can see what other SSIDs are visible from the access point and might be interfering with it.I was not able to find a way to see other SSIDs and set proxy from the mobile app.Probably they can be done only from the IP based web access panel. For the IP based web access you will need username and password. It is important to know that these are not getting set when you set up the device for first time. The default login is the Serial number of the device with blank password.I was not able to find a way to change the username and set password, but this is not really needed as once the device is installed on the wall, the serial number on the back is not visible. When setting up the access point there is a QR code on the back of the device that needs to be scanned with the Meraki Go app.It is good to get it scanned with the app before the actual installation on the wall. The installation on the wall is pretty simple as there is a metal plate that you fix on the wall and then you put the device on the plate and fix it with screw. The WiFi coverage of this access point is fairly good, but there are devices with better. The good thing is that you can connect access points in mesh network and expand the WiFi coverage. The price of £83.93 is pretty good for a business access point like this.Hopefully my review was Helpful for you.

Easy to install, very reliable, good speeds, nice app, and an all around good product!
The access point arrived safely, and it comes very well packaged and presented. Everything you need to get the access point up and running is included in the box. The mounting plate and template are excellent as they feature a large number of drilled holes in various places so you can mount it to junction boxes, the wall, drop ceilings and more, its very versatile.Obviously, this access point is more suited to a business rather than a home but I’ve installed it in my airing cupboard upstairs to provide good coverage around the house and for the past several weeks it’s been working flawlessly and I’m very pleased with it.Setting it up was fairly simple thanks to the Meraki Go app, it guides you through installing and getting it all connected. The app works really well and its nicely laid out, I like how you can view a wide range of statistics including the devices that are connected and how much data they are using, what applications are been used, guest trends and more. You can also set usage limits, block websites and set a landing page to display when someone connected to the Wi-Fi.The Wi-Fi coverage and speeds are good, I only have my Hub 4 to compare it to and its about the same regarding the range of the Wi-Fi signal. I have 1Gbps internet and when sat about 3 metres from the access point I get a consistent download speed of around 500Mbps on my Galaxy S20+. Over the last several weeks it’s always been ready to connect to and has worked perfectly, it seems a very reliable product. You can even set alerts so you will be notified if the access point goes offline at any point.Overall, I think Cisco have made an excellent product here, its easy to install, good quality, reliable and it’s got an excellent software package behind it from a well-known networking company so you can be sure you will get good support with this product. For what you are getting with this package I feel it represents good value for money and I like that you can easily add addition access points to your network as you expand.Easily a product I’m more than happy to recommend and I feel its worth the full five stars!

Easy to use and manage your WiFi
I’m working from home for more than a year now and I was offered to option to permanently work from home even after the pandemic ends. I definitely needed something more reliable for my home WIFI network, which offers me a secure connection as this is a must for my job. I’ve setup these and it seems really nice so far. Meraki Go is part of Cisco family which is worldwide leader company for secure networks. The setup was easy but I’m an IT specialist. Comes with a small instruction book which only shows you how to mount the access point onto the wall but the best way to configure your network is to download the GO app. This access point has an amazingly long range. I originally set it up right next to my WIFI router on one side of the house to get it set up, and to my surprise, it covers nearly all of my house with no reduction of speed. The App allow you to setup up to 4 wireless networks name and password, as well as choose which wireless frequencies you want the network to operate on (2.4 GHz and/or 5 GHz) you can set up some restrictions, allows you to setup usage limits for each service category and also completely block specific domain let you track visitors to your building, even when they don’t actually connect to your network, you can also setup any of the networks as a guest network which is a great feature if you looking to buy for your business.I’m happy with this Wireless Access point, I haven't had any issues with it so far. I'm sure that this would be very nice to use in a business but given its performance and that it doesn't require a paid subscription to use, it would work very well for home use like for me.
