Small, compact, and worked flawlessly!
I recently added on a sizable addition to our home. I needed a option to connect several devices in the new basement to our existing network. I also wanted something to support multiple 4K streaming devices in the new movie room. I had a network drop run to our utility room in the basement. I came across the Aumox switch while looking for a network solution. It was exactly what I was looking for. A small 5 port switch that could handle the bandwidth of my media devices.Once I received the device I was very surprised at how small it actually was. This thing is about the size of a deck of cards and does exactly what I needed. I have our HD Homerun dual tuner, 4k Stadia Chrome Cast Ultra, 4k Roku Ultra and Cat 6 drop from my primary router connected. It has been running now for almost 6 months with zero issues. I have never had a network throughput issue one the devices and have never had to cycle power on the switch itself. It run cool and does exactly what it says. What I like: - Small and compact. It can go anywhere and has mounting points on the bottom for use on a panel - Durable, with full metal construction I have no concerns with this lasting a LONG time - Value, the functionality for price is amazing - Ease of use, it was literally plug it in and connect the devices Ethernet cables, done - Peace of mind, set it and forget it. I never think of my networking in the addition, and I shouldn'tWhat I don't like: - Literally nothing. I am not sure how I would improve it even if I wanted to.If you are looking for a small, inexpensive yet very capable gigabit switch this is it. You will not be disappointed with this purchase. I am very grateful I went with the Aumox Gigabit unmanaged switch instead of several other more expensive options I was looking at. I am sure you will be too!

High Quality, Inexpensive Gigabit Switch
If you are looking for an inexpensive gigabit switch that won't break the bank then the Aumox 5-Port Gigabit Switch is for you. When you first receive the switch you will notice that the box is small and very lightweight, but don't let that fool you, this switch is very well made. After unboxing the switch you will notice that it's no frills, simple packaging. You receive the 5-pot switch, the power adapter, and fold out instructions. The next thing you'll notice about the switch is its small form factor. It measures 4 x 2.5 x 1 inches, so it's smaller than an iphone 6 but about triple the thickness. As for build quality, the housing is all metal and feels just as sturdy as a Netgear GS105.This switch is unmanaged so setup is a breeze. Typical setup is to plug your router into one of the ports, then you have 4 open ports to plug in various devices you want to add to your network via hard wire. There are light indicators that are simple to understand, solid if the port is connected, blinking if there is data transfer, and off if there is no connection. There is an indicator to show if the switch is receiving power as well.I find that using this switch in my living room worked great because I could have my TV, PS4, NAS and desktop computer hooked up without having the run additional ethernet wires through my house. As far as performance goes, this switch delivers. I've been using this switch for about 1 week and I have gotten consistent performance every single day. You can see the transfer speed I'm getting the the last screenshot. I'm transferring a 4GB ISO file from my desktop to my NAS.Overall this is a great switch for the price. You will be getting an excellent product that costs less than its competitors. As for longevity, I'll have to get back to you, but build quality and performance left me pleasantly surprised.

Quality Gigabit Switch at a Great Price
I must initially admit that I was hesitant to review this switch given that it's from a brand I've never heard of, but this is a quality switch that punches well above its price. Although unmanaged, it delivers gigabit speeds and had no issues whatsoever with passing VoIP traffic, which is something many switches struggle with. I did not yet have the opportunity to stress test it, and will update the review when I do so, but using simple tools like iperf and internet speed tests, I am getting gigabit speeds as advertised. The switch is of a reasonable metal construction and is smaller in size than most other Gigabit switches on the market. Its footprint is about the size of a credit card and is roughly similar to a deck of playing cards in overall size. The switch has no rubber feet, although it does have mounting holes for mounting to a wall. No screws or mounting template are included, though. I will note that the power plug is on the front, not on the back as in most switches. Depending on your intended use and mounting scenario, this may be a benefit or a drawback. The power adapter feels a little light, but it is a UL listed adapter and I did verify the listing, so no complaints there.Going inside, the switch is powered by the Qualcomm QCA8337-AL3C. Assuming the chip is genuine, this is a solid chip from a reputable manufacturer and is of similar design to other chipsets used in other switches at this price point. Supposedly this chipset supports 16k jumbo frames and a standard 2k MAC address table, but I did not test these claims. The soldering appears to be a combination of reflow and wave soldering and is of reasonable quality, although the solder is lead free. The network transformers are Sheng Yatai DG36002G, not much I can find on these online. Additionally, I'm not sure that they're basing the 6KV lightning protection on, since I don't see any MOVs or any isolation across the ethernet or DC inputs. Now for the cons: Although the switch does not run hot, I would have liked to see a heatsink on at least the main chipset. The TP-Link TL-SG105 has one, so this is evidence of BOM cost cutting. Additionally, there's a single no-name Samwei brand electrolytic capacitor on the underside of the PCB; all the other caps are solid. This obviously reduces the BOM cost by 1/10 of one cent, but adds an additional point of failure and is probably its biggest design flaw. I'm almost certain that if this switch fails, it's going to be that capacitor. Warranty service and support are an absolute mystery to me, so buyer beware on that front as well. Finally, I will note that the link lights are only green LEDs and do not indicate uplink speed (gigabit or fast ethernet).
