How many sheets of 20# paper can the Munix 25153 staple?

This stapler can handle 50-75 pieces of 20# paper easily; maybe more. I used Munix Heavy Duty 9/16" 23/15-h staples. The stapler does the job!

What type of staples would I need to buy?

This uses several different lengths of series 23 staples. You can buy them at Office Depot, Office Max, Staples or any other office supply store. You can also get them from Amazon, just type in "series 23 staples" and select the length you need. I bought one of these for our church office and it works quite well in stapling our booklets. Can you staple cardboard shipping boxes?

I do no see how. It is not designed for that sort of stapling.

How can I avoid jamming? Literally every second staple works, really every other works. I possible to work with. Any tips?

I hope that the following response would answer to your question. If not, please ask again. To me, 99% the problem with stapling is not caused by stapler, especially the ones sold in Amazon (I browsed through a number of brand that were listed on Amazon prior to buying three staplers for my own use) but by the stapler users. To staple properly, of course you need a trustworthy stapler as sold in Amazon, the quality of staples (I use the Swingline brand ordered from Amazon), type of paper used (if you use 20lbs, 24lbs, 50lbs or 60lbs paper it definitely won't cause any stapling related problem at all).
