Great for solar setup
I have a Windows Home Server 2011 box with a single 2tb HDD, and ASRock E350M1 AMD E-350 Dual-Core/ AMD A50M/ DDR3/ SATA3/ A&V&GbE/ Mini-ITX Motherboard dual core Processor in an RV. I used this power supply to connect it to DM 145w Polycrystalline Solar Panel (2 Pack) and a Waterproof PWM LS2024RP Solar Panel Charge Controller Regulator 12/24V 20A that fluctuate the power on my 12V deep cycle battery system between 11.4 Volts up to 15.5 Volts. This Power Supply runs my server flawlessly for that. I draw 2.4 amps at full power which equals 28.8 Watts. Startup can spike up to 60 Watts. It Idles back at 1.3-1.5 amps (16-18 watts)I also tried connecting this system to my laptop power supply brick. It runs flawlessly from that too at 20.2 volts. No instructions come with it (mine didn't). You need to go to Mini-box website to download those. It also does not come with any eternal supply power connections except for male spade connectors. It has 20 pin to the motherboard connection which plugs into and works fine on my 24 pin board. 1 Sata Power and 1 Molex 4 power and 1 floppy drive power connections enough for one device each.I have not tested the advanced features of this power supply, such as ignition control auto on/off and anti power spike for speakers...It is absolutely silent, I have not manually tested PSU temperatures during various loads and voltages.
