The Slysz Bowie Folder is Spyderco' s second collaboration with Polish knife maker Marcin Slysz. IT features a titanium handle, high-performance full-flat ground CTS XHP stainless steel blade, jumping on the thumb ramp for enhanced control, a unique G-10 back spacer, and reversible wire clip for tip-up carry.

Outstanding knife with unique design
Exceptional EDC knife. Razor sharp right out of the box. Solid lock-up. Excellent materials. I love the shape of the blade with all that extra belly.Regarding the Chris Reeve comparisons: I have a Sebenza 25 and it has a better overall build, fit, and finish imo. But the SLYSZ Bowie isn't far behind. The Spyderco fits better in my hand... not as wide / thick as Sebenza housing, but "taller" if that makes sense... you don't have to close your hand as much to hold it firmly. For reference, my current perfect hand / knife fit is the ZT 0095. Incredible fit and finish on the ZT0095 as well - right up there with my SLYSZ Bowie and the Sebenza 25. Those 3 knives are in my regular EDC rotation and worth every penny.

Spyderco SLYSZ Bowie or Spydiechef, ya can't miss with either...
Very well made, I own about 8 Spyderco blades including the Spydiechef. Both Bowie & Chef are epic and easy to EDC. That said, I kinda wish the Bowie was made with same blade steel as the Spydiechef (LC200 N), stuff is rustproof and very durable. I also love the Ed Schempp Bowie. All are well made and carry well. You can't miss on any. There is one review that speaks to the S-Bowie not being sharp out of the box. That must of been a counterfeit or an abused & used return he got. The one I got is razor sharp.

A beautiful, well-built knife that is a pleasure to look ...
A beautiful, well-built knife that is a pleasure to look at and to hold. My first impression out-of-the-box was that it seemed smaller and lighter than I had imagined, but now I think of it as the perfect size---with enough heft to make it widely functional, but light enough so that daily carry isn't a chore. Also, the blade came very sharp.Like you, I worried I might receive a counterfeit, but I'm 100% certain that Amazon sent me the real deal. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and don't feel that I overpaid.

My favorite EDC knife
I have been carrying the Slysz Bowie for about 16 months now, and have not been disappointed at all, the action to open, the fit and finish are all superb. I have kept it razor sharp with the spyderco sharpmaker, if you need a good sharpener that is easy i would recommend checking it out. Just tested it on my arm hair and it was a clean shave. Spyderco FTW!

Impressed.
WOW. I had stayed away from this one because I never liked the bowie blade shape, tried and failed to love the Techno, and the price. But I finally took the plunge not knowing it would be an instant favorite. This knife is on a rare level of perfection. The Sebenza comments are not only warranted, they might be understated. Everything about the fit and finish, ergonomics, and action are as good as they get.

Get one while you can
Was a bit sceptical, considering these are discontinued. However I most certainly recieved an authentic Slysz. It is by far my favorite knife and the reason I got into knives. It fits great in the hand, you can really get a nice grip on it. The stonewashed titanium looks and feels great, and the blade is very sharp. XHP is a similar material to D2, very durable holds an edge well and isnt "to bad" to sharpen.

Great knife, get one before they are gone.
Always thought this was a great knife. But had several other titanium handle lock folders. Then Spyderco announced they were canceling production of this model. So I purchased this knife.Great knife, very ergonomic, excellent opening action, sharp out of the box, great slicer. If you love titanium folders, this is a great buy.
