Works and performs greatly but CPU temperatures exceed well over 90°C
Overall, this laptop is able to handle really high demanding games in max settings. Frame rates were generally high and consistent in all games which ran on this laptop. Fan noise is not irritating and screen was nice too with the 144hz display. However, while running in maximum clock speed, CPU temperatures hit and stay on 94-95°C, which may lead to wearing of the CPU in long run. I did not felt comfortable staying on those temperatures, unlike GPU where the temperatures were nice and cool under 75°C. I heard that issue might be the poor quality of thermal paste MSI uses in their laptops which leads to high temperatures. Until I find a solution, I will disable turbo clock speed of CPU to keep it cool. Other than that, laptop did not have any issues. If CPU ran cooler than it did, I would have given 5 stars.

Fast and Loud
I highly recommend a good set of active noise cancelling headphones for this. The fans are LOUD: at max level, "Cooler Boost", they spin to about 6000 RPM. Temps do seem reasonable if you're gaming. The Quake II RTX demo ran at a steady 58 to 62 FPS in a brief test. Putting a full CPU load on the system was another story. Cinebench R20 pulled a 2547 with Cooler Boost running and peaked at around 95 C, with 3.30 GHz on all cores. It scored 2544 with the Auto fan curve, maxing at around 90 C but with a 3.28 GHz clock on all cores. I'll try to update this a few other temp and FPS numbers from some games.I did make several changes to how my system came configured. It arrived with a 512 GB NVMe SSD set up with a 280ish GB C: partition and a 180ish GB D: partition for Data. A couple of other partitions are system reserved (tools and recovery). However, the C: and D: partitions were separated by a 900 MB tools partition and Windows doesn't let you move it. I had to disable Secure Boot and run a Linux rescue tool to move the partitions and expand the C: drive. Everything went smoothly, but I highly recommend backing up before trying.I also installed 32 GB of RAM (a Crucial Ballistix Sport LT kit, DDR4 2666 at CL 16) and a 2TB SSHD (Seagate FireCuda). Installation was fairly straightforward. It did require removing about a dozen screws from the bottom panel and some plastic prying tools to remove the bottom panel. There are only two SO-DIMM slots, so dual channel/dual stick kits are the only upgrade option. There is also an open M.2 NVMe slot available; the PCB states it's a PCIe 3.0 x4 capable slot. 2.5" drives need an extra piece of mounting hardware included in the box (a small metal bracket with 4 screws, 2 each of 2 different sizes).Overall, I'm really happy with it. Upgrades are simple enough. It runs cool and quiet at idle and the Dragon Center gives plenty of options for controlling performance, cooling, audio tuning, and screen color settings (anti-blue mode, sRBG, etc.)

Excellent mid-tier gaming laptop.
Very pleased with the laptop. Meets or exceeds expectations. The key backlight can be a little bright in the dark but you can adjust it to your liking.

I WISH I BOUGHT A MACBOOK INSTEAD
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE 2 months later:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~* COIL WHINE. Yeah its pretty bad. Its coming from the CPU I called MSI and they said they cant do much about it.* There is white dot on the display, its circular with a radius of like 5-10 pixels.. Its basically brighter and whiter at all times except dark backgrounds. SO those few pixels are responding weird. Also if you watch some video on youtube that has gray contents, you can see vertical gray pix-elated lines. Its not always there. But mostly on gray.. (especially if you're saving battery with 60hz)* I find the build quality to be cheap. But it does keep the laptop surprisingly light.* sleep and wake up works slow. Its almost as long as shutting down your laptop and restarting it. It could be a windows thing so I disgrace.Wish I went with the macbook pro 16 inch. Apple does not have this many issues and they fix their issues. My previous macbook pro 13 lasted me 5 years with no issues. This one, within 2 months there are too many issues.

Complete let down
Less then a year and my charging port won't charge. 1 year and barley removed from one place. Customer service says out of warranty won't replace... for the price tag this is really my option.... I will remeber this going forward...

Light weight, powerful but not so great battery. Overall good.
Product review:Build quality is good even though the body is plastic and hence the laptop is very light weight for 17 inch. Display is good and visuals look good. The keyboard is nice to type on but the keys placement needs getting used to - especially the windows key is on the right, Home/End keys need a FN key combo and are placed to the extreme right edge, etc, keyboard lighting is good and all keys are illuminated well and lights are controllable. Sound output is sufficient but not very good. Killer WiFi is good. The fan noise at full speed is quite loud. Smudges/stains very easily and noticeable - need to be constantly wiped to keep clean. Gets hot under load and needs a cooling pad. Battery is not adequate and must be improved. Power brick is sufficient but much heavier than the laptop. The power point is at the right side but the 90' power input when plugged in will block the right exhaust vent unless the cord is positioned away from the user. Installed bloatware is minimal. BIOS is bare bones. Overall performance; is okay.Seller review:Seller shipped the order promptly and the item was packed well but the shipment was delivered late by a couple of days by UPS and had to pick it up from a pickup point. The Seller advertised 1x16GB RAM but the laptop had 2x8gb and was unexpected. 512 SSD is Samsung MZVLB512HAJQ. The lid had a minor scratch of about 3 inches long which is noticeable and should have been checked before shipping.
