So easy to set up initially & use. Very easy to run with the default settings but spend 5 minutes & easily configure it to your choices.Picture quality day or night is very good & in the poorest conditions reading number plates is clear.Fast warm up time & shows your GPS connection quick. Indicated speed as expected is accurate & the camera locations so far (2 months of ownership) are all identified.Excellent warnings of camera approach & camera type. The mounting bracket is larger than most & isn’t the best but perfectly adequate.My recommendation is to purchase a 128gb sd card & use it on the max HD setting

Bought this to replace my current camera for the added benefits of speed camera alerts. Easy to setup and the windscreen mount supplied is strong and holds the camera with little or no movement when driving. I had issues initially with the speed camera alerts which, when displayed, would cause the camera to freeze and stop recording. A quick email to Mio and the issue is resolved. Even though the manual doesn’t mention it, Sandisk and Samsung microSD cards are not 100% compatible. Switched to a different manufacturer and the camera now works perfectly. Image quality is great, however it would benefit from a polarised lens filter to stop reflections from the dashboard, etc. Pleased with it so far.

I was looking for a dash cam but had a large tick list. I wanted:A good quality picture.Wide angle.Easy to use.Worked with my smartphone.Did speed cameras.No subscriptions for updates.A good price.Well made.This product was the only one I could find and it smashes all of that out the park. Plus little things like you can easily add your own camera locations for local spots you know the mobile cameras frequent.

Brilliant DashCam no nonsense work straight out of the box no need to buy these cheap Chinese rubbish this is it a Taiwanese product

I’ve been using mio mivue dash cams for many years brilliant dash cams I’ve just bought the twin front and rear for the new car mainly because it’s now a necessity under my insurance so the mio mivue 798 is brilliant updated with speed cameras picture is great and you can download to your mobile phone.

Good quility video. Lane departure function not great, tells you to get into lane when you clearly already are. Set up OK but not the easiest.

The video quality is good. However I wanted to install it using the parking function, discovered you need an additional bit of kit, which adds to the price of something already expensive. Also the advert and instructions stated you can add a second camera to the "master" unit. The help desk advise this is not possible. Further emails to the help desk asking why its in the instructions go unanswered. To me, that is the sign of a sub standard company - we have got your money, now bugger off. Not a brand I would use again. Your milage might vary.
