Great for CD's, DVD's, Disc Based Video Games
I wish this wasnt discontinued or in indefinite backorder as its a really good product. From what im reading with the reviews on this, is that most users do not use it properly or follow the instructions on the back of the tube. Its quite simple to use and its best to NOT use it in a [Disc Buffing/Repair Machine]; especially if you are going to try to use it on Blu-Ray disc media. DO NOT MACHINE BUFF/REPAIR Blu-Ray discs! They have a protective coating that was designed to take damage and still be read. IF you remove that coating then the disc becomes unreadable. For use of this product, the best way is the old school method which involves a little wrist and elbow action.- Put no larger than a Pea Sized dab on the disc, and spread it around with a clean finger or while wearing a latex-free glove.- Then let it almost completely dry, then take a lint free cloth and buff it out like your waxing your car.- This will take a few minutes, it will look like you made it cloudy, but as you continue going along it will end up polishing minimizing the scratches you have and making the disc really shiny which is good for the devices laser/optical unit.I've done this with countless PlayStation 1, Game Cube and Original Xbox Discs that constantly freeze or skip and its fixed about 98% of them that dont have major deep scratches that go into the data layers.Again, NEVER MACHINE REPAIR YOUR DISCS!

Good enough repair on a badly damaged DVD
I used this product to repair a DVD that was badly scratched (broad, shallow area of damage) by a poorly designed storage case. I used multiple applications of the product and then lightly cleaned the disc with window cleaner. The repair is not perfect, but considering the degree of damage it is good enough that my DVD player can handle the damage well enough to bypass the scratched section. This product worked when other solutions did not.

Memorex Disc repair does not work
I tried this product on cd's in numerous ways. Followed the instructions on the tube and used the cloth provided. Left the solution on a bit longer, smoothed it on with my fingers, etc. NOTHING worked on very small scratches or scuffs. Waste of money- a huge disappointment.

Best Disc cleaner solution
What i like about this solution is you do not have to scratch any discs. You just apply the lotion with a cloth and then wipe it off with a clean cloth. Some DVD's that i could not read before I can now. I think very large deep scratches will probably still skip. But this fluid kind of fills in the small cracks so it can play better. I have used this before and highly recommend it. I thought the price was a little bit high though. But i think this is the best stuff on the market.

Adequate cleaner, but inadequate repair
I use to use CD2000 Fix-It Kit all the time, but they are going out. Switched to this because it had the Memorex name. While it is okay for cleaning and very minor scratches (just brush strokes), it is not as good as what I am use to. Will try to find a different product to meet my needs.

This product does a great job repairing my discs
This product does a great job repairing my discs. Unfortunately, the product description does not indicate how it is to be used. Like many other repair solutions, you place a drop or two on the cleaning heads of a DISC REPAIR MACHINE. Then run the machine. When used in a disc repair machine, this product works as advertised.

My disc looked great...but didn't fix it
I had a disc that was part of a 2 disc dvd collection that had some scratches on it...and my player wouldn't load it...and kept giving me a "dirty disc" error message. Before buying a new dvd I thought I'd give this a try.On my first attempts...trying to clean/repair the disc...it did look shiney and new. So I was excited to try it out. But alas...I still got the same error message. On my third and last try. I began to see that the disc was being scratched even worse from my continuing efforts to clean it...even though I'd been using a fairly light touch with the cloth that is included in the kit.So IMHO...this might work on a finger-printed or dusty disc...but it definitely didn't do the trick for me.

I tried it on a disc where the audio was making an annoying skipping sound
The repair kit lives up to it`s claim of repairing defects of a disc. I tried it on a disc where the audio was making an annoying skipping sound. After it`s application of a just a drop or two the CD clayed just fine as though there were no defect.
