Cuckoo makes realistic sound----you don't need to remove the third battery if you don't want the cuckoo sound--just turn the volume fully down. The different coloured birds are fun but the mechanism doesn't look very robust.Clock is plastic and a bit cheap looking but it does wipe cleanThe depth is quite large and looks a bit out of proportion with the rest of the clockThe cuckoo doesn't come out on the hour--usually 3 minutes past. Have adjusted the minute hand as per instructions but no improvement.Poor value for the price.

I was a little cautious about buying this item due to the negative review below, but I decided to buy it and make my own mind up, and I’m glad I did! The clock is very cute and I’m really happy with it. The plastic casing is very matte so it doesn’t look too ‘plastic-y’ and is actually a creamy/off white. Mine did come with instructions but I didn’t bother to read them as it was so simple to set up - the birds are magnetic so you just pop them on the little pad inside the doors, hook the ticker around the bottom, add batteries and you’re good to go. Overall, a fun purchase!

I needed to avail of the 2 year warrantee as the product did not work within a year. Walplus repaired the clock but charged me for postage to and from the UK to Ireland. They also wanted to bill me for a basic plastic cuckoo which I required as a spare.This company does not have loyalty to their customers. They are only interested in their own financial gain!!!! Never again

I love this cuckoo clock. I chose the pink shutters as it is my favourite colour. There is a choice of cuckoo colours with the clock, black, white and yellow. It is plastic but very well made. It is also a very quiet tick.The volume of the cuckoo can be adjusted and the instructions are very clear.I absolutely love it!!!!

Great little clock - took a little while to get the cuckoo the chime the same amount of times as the hour hand - but more down to me than the clock .

Great gift..great price..looks good in my porch..and the cuckoo pops out on time, every time..

I love this clock, I bought it for my grandaughter, hopefully to help her tell the time
