Problem solver.
I have a propane patio campfire pit. Lighting it has always been a little scary because I'm somewhat disabled. I turn on the gas, then try to get the butane lighter into position quick, but usually it takes more than one click to make the lighter work. Then there's a "WHOOSH" when the campfire catches. Now, with these fire starters, I just place one on the lava rocks about where the burner ring is. It lights very easy with an electronic candle lighter. Then, I just open the gas valve & the fire just gently lights, without any scary start. The little shredded wheat thing burns down to nothing & I enjoy my fire & watch the stars & enjoy my coffee.

Does exactly what I need it to do
These work really well for me and the set up I’m using. I’m using this with the Chimney of Insanity, the BBQ Dragon, and really good premium lump charcoal. This does the trick for me. I can get the charcoal lit and ready to use in about 10-12 minutes. It catches fire quickly and easily. I think a good spark would do it. I’ve also used it to light a wood burning fire pit and camp fires, too. I’ll order them again.

These are awesome
I’ve used a few different fire starters, these are by far the quickest and easiest to use. I’m going to get more!

Pretty handy tool
I was skeptical as to whether these would last long enough or produce sufficient flame to get my charcoal chimney going but these starters work very well. I used 3 for a large chimney but could've got it going with 2.

Fast but not long lasting fire
These start fires fast but it won’t last longer than 15 minutes, it needs to help “catch” the wood. My wood is hard and it merely blackens with this product. I’m not cooking, I’m only using fire for ambience and I’m chasing mosquitoes away.

Light easily.
If you have a lot of kindling, this might be just the product for you. However, if you have mainly logs, these don't burn long enough to light anything. YOu must use several and spaced intermittently to be truly effective.....which makes them comparatively expensive. I got MAYBE ten fires lit.

exactly as you'd expect
Place, Light, Wait, Grill. These do exactly what you expect them to and work perfectly. They are not as good a value as some other firestarters but because they don't seem to give off a chemical smell, I think they are still a good value if you don't want to worry about that lighter fluid smell/taste.
