I bought this floor lamp to position near my sewing machine, where I'd been struggling to see when pinning fabric, matching seams etc prior to machine stitching. I could not be more pleased with the bright, clean, glare-free light. The base is very stable, the height is perfect, and I love the long, flexible neck and arm of the fixture that made it easy to position the light right where I needed it without having a lamp base on the table taking up valuable workspace. I'm planning to move this lamp to my sofa or recliner chair for when I'm hand stitching, and I think it will be fantastic over my cutting table as well. I might need to purchase an additional lamp!

Very nice. Very bright - which is exactly what I was looking for. I need a super bright light and this is awesome. The light has several brightness settings. The lamp area turns to aim the bulb where you want it to focus on. I have other (drafting style) lamps from this company and love the brightness as well. Perfect. I bought the table top base as well. Will be buying more of these for other areas of the home.

Very nice task light! I use it for my computer computer. Attached it to the edge edge of my desk and it extends over my keyboard perfectly. Various adjustments for height. The light cover can be turned 300 to shine directly down or any other way. Very nice quality.

This is an amazing lamp. Excellent illumination. I use two in my sewing room. One at my sewing table and one at my cutting table and ironing board.The LED strip is amazing. Intense illumination without heat.It was very easy to assemble. This is worth the priceThe flexible neck is also a 5 star feature. I am so happy how easy it is to move the floor standing lamp around.During the winter months , my husband and I use it at our dining table while assembling jigsaw puzzles.

UPDATE - I continued to be curious so I contacted Daylight. Even though it comes in two pieces they did not design it to be taken apart on a regular basis. This doesn't change my mind about the lamp, though. I still love it!!I've had the 1st generation (incandescent) of the Daylight Slimline for many years. Since it's an incandescent bulb the 1st gen gets mighty hot. I use this lamp exclusively for needlepoint (almost always in my Lowery floor stand; sometimes with the table base) so I lean very close to it, thus it's VERY warm! The 1st generation fits perfectly in the Lowery light bar and locks in tight so i put up with the heat. I was excited when Daylight came out with the 2nd generation with LED bulbs and immediately ordered one. While it's amazing quality (like all Daylight lamps) it doesn't fit in my light bar (the base is different), nor did it fit tightly in the clamp that came with the lamp or the table base i have. It wobbled so I couldn't use it and went back to the old one. When I saw the 3rd generation I took the chance and ordered it (knowing I could return it to Amazon) and it's perfect! It fits in the light bar just as tight as the original. As a bonus, they've redesigned the clamp and it fits super tight there as well. And since it's all metal (I got the brushed steel model) there's no danger of the clamp warping like one with plastic parts (if it does I have bigger problems than a wobbly light...). In addition to fitting in my Lowery, this lamp is in two pieces - the lamp itself and the lower part. While I'm not sure it's designed to take apart on a regular basis (that's a question for Daylight), if it is that will make transport and storage much easier. The other new feature is the 3rd generation is dim-able so you can set the brightness to suit your needs and the ambient light in the room. I can't recommend this lamp enough!!

This is the best sewing light I have ever purchased. I read reviews for a long time and recently moved my sewing machine table and have a dark area in front of the machine. Could not be happier with this light, I’m not even using it on the brightest setting, love everything about it and only regret is not purchasing it sooner.

Just what I needed. I wanted a floor lamp that's slim, modern, would fit in a small space, and matches the mood of the room. The lamp profile is very subtle; it's also lightweight, and took me about 5-minutes to assemble (no tools necessary). It sits perfectly near the couch and under the wall art, and the brushed steel color goes great with my furniture. The LED light is bright enough to fill my living room, and there are four settings to dim the brightness. There's no remote control so placement matters to access the one power button. My favorite features are the twist-able arm for angling the light, and the flexible joints to change the pole style: whether vertical, 90-degree angle, etc. I've only had the lamp a few hours so I can't say it's worth the price, thought I intend on doing a follow-up review on overall quality and durability. Just a note, the lamp has a glare while on in photos, so I took a photo in my kitchen to show the size against furniture and decor. I also took photos of the light in daylight and at night.

I love this light. I bought mine for my juki industrial table. It has many brightness levels, and they all are pretty bright. Doesn’t take space at all. It sits with a clam on the table. Is a little expensive but for me it doesn’t matter as long as is bright. I truly like it.
