I contacted the company directy about this issue on 7/21/18 and I received NO response so I am posting my message to them with my review for all to see.I purchased the Tacklife CM01S meter in october 2017 to replace a broken meter I had so when I needed a meter I would have a working meter. When I finally needed it a couple weeks ago to troubleshoot a malfunctioning air conditioner, the meter failed me. I set it to DC volts to test the AC to DC transformer and the meter consistently told me zero volts of output measured directly at the transformer. I replaced the transformer multiple times because it read zero volts of output. I ultimately had to call the air conditioner service repair who quickly tested the existing transformer with his Fluke meter and confirmed it WAS working properly. With that knowledge, he was able to identify the problem quickly. This also told me I could not trust my barely used meter. A meter that cannot be trusted cannot be used. This failure of the Tacklife meter ended up costing me 4 times the expense to fix my problem. Before I post my experience on Amazon, I wanted to reach out to you directly to request a refund. Under some circumstances I would consider a replacement but unfortunately I no longer have any trust in the Tacklife meter's accuracy.Now I have a meter that seems to sometimes work but I cannot trust. To me, it is junk. Buyer beware

Great for home or work. This meter is good quality. Wish it had a magnet though but I added one to it myself and it works great.Update: I have had this meter for a year now and use it mainly for work; work in HVAC and electrical at work and have only had to change out the leads. (This is not just a meter for home owner.) I read a review of someone having trouble reading dc voltage on an ac voltage transformer and wanted a refund well if they knew anything about dc and ac voltage you will get a reading of zero if trying to read ac voltage while your meter is set to read dc voltage. Just read the manual on how to select from ac voltage to dc voltage and it will work.

Initial impressions are this is definitely a homeowners amp clamp not for everyday professional use. It does not include min or max on any of the settings. I would have liked to see min and max. No fault of the seller, it doesn't state that it has this feature. The thermocouple setting on this is off by a few degrees (lower) compared to a more expensive meter and my digital thermostat. For a homeowner doing small jobs once in awhile where it doesn't make sense to purchase a more expensive meter this is perfect. It does current, voltage and resistance which are what will be used the most. Would recommend to others for simple testing and troubleshooting.

I viewed the different YouTube reviews on this meter before I made the purchase and I'm glad I got this one. This is a great DIY clamp meter for a home owner. I've been wanting one of these for a long time but could not afford a Fluke or Ideal meter. Not only is this one affordable, its a quality meter. I like all the different functions and the work like is great as well. It does the job.

I was surprised by this price, the old one I have is about 100 dallor which I purchased in the store. This digital clamp meter measures a lot of things, even the room temperature which my old one doesn’t. I have compared both of them, the results are accurate. By the way, this set also coming with a case, no need to worry the parts will lost, as long as I put them back after use.

I purchased this item because I didn't have a clamp AC ammeter, but it also comes with functions of a DMM. The ability to measure resistance, DC and AC volts and capacitance were more limited than I expected. If you plan on using it only to measure AC current then it should be fine. But, the other functions are not that accurate nor do they have a good range.

The meter will not read correctly. I tried to test an outlet on the wall that is 110. It read only 89. I tried a different meter and got 110. Definitely would like it replaced ASAP.

Used only a couple of times to measure current flow in home circuits for refrigerators, A/C heat pumps and fan units and dryers to obtain current for the purpose of sizing home emergency generators. Has quick response allowing fairly good starting current values although it is not quick enough to capture instantaneous starting current. Good product.
