One of my best purchases from the Amazon website. Pleasantly surprised that the chair is made in Taiwan. I am a big fan of Taiwanese quality in anything manufactured.The chair itself is extremely comfortable. Excellent seat & back frame design. The addition of the bungie cord for the seat & back adds to the level of the qualities. Very good lumbar support. Seat elevation easily adjustable. Chair 'rocks' forward & aft...the 5 casters will not put you on your butt! The only setback (for few) would be the arm rests are not height adjustable. This is just a minor concern given the exceptional comfort of the chair.The manufacturer packaging, how I received the chair, was very exceptional...good protection, little waste. Assembly instructions strait forward. Easy.I thank the other posters for their observations.

After trying dozens of task chairs including some very high end ones (I had planned to buy a leather one), a sales person at a furniture store suggested I try this chair, as all their sales staff sit on them. Well, one try, and I was hooked. I found the chair online, ordered it, and can only say that it is without a doubt the most comfortable chair I have ever sat in, for 1/10th the price of the high end task chairs. I cannot say enough about this chair. It swivels, tilts, has a hydraulic lift, and the arms are perfect for me. I am just under 5'3". This high back chair comes to the bottom of my head. There is also a lower one and a higher one with a head rest. I feel like also ordering the one with the headrest because the chair is so comfortable that I sometimes want to rest my head while relaxing on the computer. But this chair is wonderful, and because it is open and lightweight, etc. it is unobtrusive, does not use up visual space, and I have it tucked under my glass computer desk for a sleek, unbusy look. LOVE IT. It is SO SO SO comfortable. The bungie cords are not sagging with use and provide "give" (firm bounce) and comfort. I would not hesitate ordering this for everyone in the family.

This chair is the most comfortable chair ever! Wished I had bought it sooner. Takes all the pressure off if my lower back & tailbone!! Can’t recommend it enough! Super easy to assemble as well!

Honestly, I can only rave about this chair. It is substantial and comfortable. The support couldn’t be better! My hubby wants to order some soft sleeves for the arms, as they are a hard plastic. But he is used to the old fashioned office chairs. I would choose this chair over any of those old style office chairs for all the support and comfort this one gives!

Well, back when I bought this chair, the price was a good bit less and I thought it was a great chair for the money paid. I think it still is a pretty good chair for the current price point but there may be cheaper options for a similar chair. There were big variances in price depending on the model name/color but at the end of the day, bungie cord is bungie cord.This is a poor man's Aeron chair. You can keep your butt cool due to the spacing and you won't flatten out a cushion over time like regular chairs. Those 2 points are the reason why I recommend this chair. Flattening of the cushion is usually why I end up replacing chairs so I can see myself keeping this chair for a long time. I have spent upwards of 18 hours a day on it without too much discomfort other than what normally comes with sitting for 18 hours. There are no fancy adjustments, you can only tilt back and the chair is not for shorter people. I'm 5'7" and I barely made the cutoff for being able to put my feet on the ground.Also, the armrests can be removed and are made out of a hard plastic material, which in my opinion is good because any cushion armrest ended up getting holes in them due to the sides rubbing against walls or the desk. Also, the armrest is kind of high as well so take that into consideration. I use a simple ikea desk which is basically a slab of wood with legs on it, no drawers. I suspect if you have one of those keyboard pullout things or a drawer, the chair may not fit underneath the desk.3/15/17 update:Still going strong, over 5 years later. All the cords are still holding up without any fraying or cracking. I've probably gained about 40 lbs (pure muscle, I swear) since I first reviewed the chair in 2012 but the bottom cords are still supporting my weight (200 lbs) without bottoming out. It was a great buy for what I paid ($180). There are probably better options for the current asking price of $260 though.10/6/22 update:The plastic tab on the weight bearing set portion broke and another is on its way out. I've ordered replacement sets, customer service replied immediately. Essentially cost $6 per bungie, you can order in 2's or 10s. I just ordered 10 for $60. It has been a good chair.10/15/22 update: You will need a quick-grip or similar to pull the bungies taut. The one you replace will be much tighter than the ones you don't so it feels like I'm sitting on a wire now. I could replace more but I feel like it's a pretty dangerous process, the bungie slipped on the quick-grip and snapped my finger pretty good. I hope the replaced bungie cord looses up over time.

Back issues? This is THE chair. I purchased a second for home office. Been using one since 2015. I used to have two office chairs and would switch them out throughout the day. With this bungee chair, I can sit all day and never feel discomfort. Added bonus- your butt doesn’t get warm or sweaty because air flows through the bungees. ;)I recommend this chair to anyone who sits a lot during the day. Personally, this chair is so comfortable that I no longer squirm around to get comfortable. The first one I bought is still going strong! Bought the second one due to two work environments (home office and office).I’m 6’ tall and this chair goes high enough that my feet dangle! Also goes low for the under 6’ people. ;)
