Very nice National Match front sight, high quality machine work and finish. Came with its bolt. Even if you don't shoot matches this sight allows a significantly sharper sight picture than the issue sight.

Highly recommend. When taking your old one off
Fit very well, and the sight width is a definite improvement. Highly recommend.When taking your old one off, be careful. It took the use of a vise, a quality Allen wrench, WD-40 and a mallet to remove it without stripping out the Allen head. If it doesn’t come out by hand, use the vise before you strip out the fastener.

It worked beautifully once the rifle was zeroed.
Got the national match front sight in my 308 M1 Garand and, not even trying to brag here, but it helped me ping steel targets out to 600 yards consistently. Don’t waste any more time, tighten up your shot group for cheap with this front sight. Installation was easy, just loosen the Allen bolt on the old front sight, slip on new, tighten, and zero front sight by loosening and adjusting.

Makes my m1 garand rifle a better shooting rifle
this sight allows a finer sight picture , I am now shooting tighter groups , I only use federal gold medal match ammo or Hornady match ammo loaded for m1 garand , rifle has new criterion barrel , rifle is now 1.5 Moa shooting rifle with this .062 nm front sight ! Awesome !

Great Replacement
The original site on this rifle came off while in the woods. With the replacement on, you can’t tell that it’s not part of the original.

Not national match size
The front sight that I received was not a national match .062 post. It measures .076 which is the same width as the standard front sight. Also has no markings indicating that it is a national match sight.
