Adorable and very sturdy chicken coop. Chicken Approved.
Exactly what I was looking for. I needed a large inside coop surface area for baby chicks when they are feathered enough to go outside. What sold me on the coop was the sweet little flower box on the side and overall look of the coop. The coop is not the exact one pictured. I actually like the coop I received better than the photo example. The roosting bar in the run is much better constructed in the one I received. I love the plastic window, and there are the cute ventilation windows at the top. I find the coop gets really warm in the sun, as to be expected with a black roof. It did not take the chicks long to figure out how to fly down to the run to keep cool. For size comparison, the water in the photo is a 1 gallon size. I have at least 20 chicks in the coop right now, all around four weeks old. Another pro for me is the area under the nesting box is also protected. I find this lacking in other coops, and we always needed to nail down the bottom so critters cannot enter through there. All in all a great coop.A possible improvement in the future, maybe making the cleanup door with a layer of hardware cloth with a slide door to close when needed. This way I know my chickens are protected and keeping slightly more cool in the day time. Some pieces did come cracked from transit, but none that affected the structural integrity of the coop.

Wood is very thin and flimsy.
To start or should I say not start, the directions are a diagram which were not easy to unravel. An architect friend of mine happen to be visiting and if it wasn't for him would have taken me much longer to assemble. When finished assembly, I initially though how beautiful it turned out until it was up a few days. The flower box started coming apart, (most of it was put together with cheap staples, so I decided to remove it as it fell apart as I tried to fix it.) Thankfully I had not place my chicken it the coop as a few days late,r winds of about 35-45 miles came and blew the roof fight off. Like I said I had an architect fiend help me put together. So, now it sits without any chicken it until I can reinforce it somehow. Very disappointing, will not be going this route again.

Cute but cheap
Directions not perfect. Some of the screws were wrong size. One piece completely fell apart and we have to glue it. I’m not certain this will last after a few rains. Maybe I should paint it with something weatherproof? I’ll have to use a stronger mesh and stronger latches. Not worth the money I spent but it’s very cute. It will have to do for now.

Easy assembly, needs some reinforcement but very nice looking and would buy again.
Very cute and super easy to assemble. Appears like it will comfortably fit our flock of 5 once fully grown, although we do plan to free range as well.Kind of thin wood, and will likely repaint/reinforce before winter. Some damage from shipping, and hardware needs to be enhanced - nothing we can’t easily repair. Overall saved me a ton of time as opposed to a complete DIY, and it’s very nice looking in our yard - love the planter box. Would buy again.

Pieces broken
It looks sturdy in pictures however its thin and several pieces were broken. I contacted seller and never had a response. Great color but difficult to put together with broken boards. Couldn't return because the box had been thrown away.

Perfect coop for backyard flock!
You guys. I hardly ever write reviews. Who has time for that? But I am in love with this coop. It looks fantastic, wasn’t too hard to build (took me and my two small “very helpful” children about 2 hours), and is the perfect size for a small backyard flock. We currently only have 2 hens, but this could easily hold 4 or 5. My only complaint/feedback is that the holes aren’t pre-drilled, so it took a little bit of extra time to make those.I also punched out the plexiglass window to allow for better ventilation, and just covered it up with chicken wire to keep predators out.

The cheapest materials and poorly made chicken coop.
For $500 dollars this was the cheapest materials, the instructions were wrong in some areas, the holes didn’t aline to where they need to be. Parts were already fallen off that were stapled or nail gunned on. The wood was cracked on a lot of parts and I’m not 100% sure it will be able to hold my chickens when they get full size. The only thing that wasn’t “cheap” was the screws. Very disappointed and I was really looking forwarded to building it and having it for my chickens.

Cute! I would recommend it to a friend.
It is cute! I get alot of compliments. If you live in an area with creative critters roaming around, then you will want to reinforce the latches, use heavier wire, and reinforce the foundation so critters can't dig under it. The only con is it is hard to clean the ground beneath the coop and run. Wish the run could be easily removed to access the ground floor better. However, I suppose two people could left and move it over to a clean spot..don't know if we could left it without removing the run though...will modify review when we try this. Coop floor is easy to clean out bedding and then pulls out easily to wash.
