OTHER: This fast-growing heirloom poppy is a native of Turkey. Poppies attract bees, butterflies, and birds. The huge showy 2 - 4" blooms make them an excellent cut flower, and their unique looking seed pods are splendid in dried arrangements or for crafts.

Bulk Icelandic Poppy Seeds a beautiful flower bed at a great price indeed.
Seeds arrived on time and common to all flowers as a species, Icelandic poppies need to be not sown but rather sprinkled upon the surface of the soil. I believe this is one of the reasons why others had difficulty in germination. Poppy seeds, all varieties do not germinate when planted. They germinate on the soil surface with proper moisture and burrow into the ground, like Nicotiana flowers these seeds need both light and moisture to germinate. In short order the seeds began to germinate and fill the gaps of the raised beds with little green shoots. They are now just a few months after planting showing their flowers, a beautiful frilly ruby color on spiked stalked stems, what a garden center piece. These in combination with the California poppies planted at the same time make a showy flower bed indeed. Just remember, poppies are a cooler weather flower, if planted in summer they tend to bolt straight away into flowering and it is unimpressive as the flowering period is but brief. So, always plant your poppy flowers just after the last frost for best results.

Who counts these.. Short say 500
First let me say I have ordered seeds from many places on here and from many different varieties of plants and vegetables the fact that I could not get any seeds to germinate and grow from any company as I started to think these are extremely hard to germinate and then I watch videos online and I ordered more seeds and none of them group either all that... Videos made it seam easy as hell.. But no seeds grew.. To date 4 seed orders 4 diff companies 3 lil plants growing.... Seams excessive.Do not worry the other compaies are getting the same review as cut and paste is easy..Except...NAHD

Successful germination.
Our seeds germinated fine, plenty of plants, now just need to thin and transplant into more containers.

Seeds are sprouting
These seeds sprout. They must be fresh. I have several sprouts already. Great seeds. Can't wait to see the flowers in a year or two!

Don’t waste your money!
Took forever to arrive and did not germinate. Complete waste of time and money.

Growth
I tried to grow to attract bees. In north Ms. it is simply too hot. It comes up in spring but dies off before bulbs form. I gave up on it. You need cooler temp for the too grow.
