Update- the first one I received didn't work and the vendor contacted me when I posted a negative review. They agreed to send another unit and this one seems to work OK- maybe the first one I received was defective. Does the job to plug the fire stick, and PS3 into the only other HDMI slot my (older) TV hasSo, I did some testing and the only answer I can come up with it this product is either faulty, or it just doesn't work with my systems. Plugged the amazon fire stick (actually works ok with this 3 port adapter) and the PS3 (basically an overqualified DVD player in my house now) into this which then plugs into my tv Hdmi port #2. The cable box I left plugged into the other Hdmi port. I swapped all the ports and cables around a few times now, trying multiple different combinations of Hdmi cables into various Hdmi ports and the problem continues. While using the Ps3 with this adapter the screen "flashes" white screen for a millisecond, sometimes the "flashes" are accompanied by a sound also. Almost like the house was hit by lightning. This only happens with the PS3 and so far only while watching (tried with multiple) DVDs, I have not tried a game on the PS3 yet. I don't know if it's because PS3 is so old now, but you would think the cable should be able to handle the signal. The Amazon fire stick works with the Hdmi switch, but not the PS3. So really this didn't solve my problem as I still have to manually swap out the Hdmi Amazon fire stick/PS3 when I switch between the systems. :(

I bough the 2 Port HDMI Switch so I can alternate between watching my laptop screen and my HD Cable. like how the product automatically switches from one HDMI to another HDMI depending on which HDMI port is turned on first, connected or disconnected sequentially. I only wish I had the foresight to buy the version with the remote for ease of use. Oh, if only hindsight was 20/20. I guess I can get up from the futon occasionally and tap the selection button. At least I don't annoyingly have to continuously plug and unplug the HDMI wires from the back of my TV as I was previously doing prior to purchasing the 2 Port HDMI Switch.

This product does exactly what I ask of it and does so for a reasonable price without having to be shipped from China (even though it may have come from there in the first place). So why don't I rate it 5 Stars (I love it)? Two reasons. One, how can anybody actually LOVE a 2x1 Port HDMI switch? That seems a bit much to me. Two, getting this postpones my need to replace my aging Audio/Video Receiver whose main fault is its limited number of HDMI ports. And, budget notwithstanding, I really kind of wanted to buy a new Anthem 701 AVR. My wife is thrilled that I spent $15 instead of $1,500, but I'm just a little sad...

Needed another connection and this worked. Switches when a device turns on and it receives a new signal. Works as expected.

Great buy if you intend to connect to gaming consoles of DVD/Blu-Ray Players. I have an Xbox 360 and my computer HDMI cable connected to the TV with this switch. As soon as i turn my Xbox on the switch changes to that port and if i turn my Xbox off and plug my computer for movie watching, the switch changes again without any contact.BEWARE: This and almost any other HDMI switch wont work with cable boxes since they are configured to recognise this switches and treat them as a piracy device.

I use this to connect more devices to my Samsung Smart TV via HDMI. I connected the Chromecast, DVD player and Nintendo to it. Works great. If I power one of the units up the TV automatically switches to the correct input. No need to press any buttons on the switch. I wish TVs had a dozen HDMI inputs, but they don't so I use this instead.

Since my tv only has two HDMI ports and I have over 6 different devices, this has helped with those devices that seem to be in an "on" status all the time for my switcher. I currently have my apple tv and my fire tv stick hooked up to this device. They take over from my other switcher, and constantly knock my cable out.My only complaint would be that it doesn't automatically switch when i turn off either device and turn on the other.

I had 1 HDMI port on my surround sound received die and needed an automatic switch for 2 video game systems to share an HDMI port. I had previously purchased a different HDMI switch. The first switch seemed to have a problem handling the PS4 video, would work for about 15-20 min then start dropping video for a second or 2 every minute. This switch has been working perfectly since I installed it about 6 weeks ago. definitely the better purchase.
