1.5 Quart Colander

I absolutely love this colander! I no longer needed a large colander, so I ordered the 3 quart size. It is the perfect size if you are cooking for 2 to 3 people. The drainage is very good. It has a good weight to it, is sturdy without being heavy. I recommend hand washing the colander to maintain the beautiful color. I ordered the magenta and am so pleased. It is a vibrant, happy color. It looks exactly like the pictures posted by the seller. I keep it on the counter or table with baked goods or fruit. The 3 qt size holds up to 9 apples. This colander is pricey, but it is very well made.

(Updated) Well, it was pretty but the bloom is off the proverbial rose. I bought the red and yellow to match a small blue antique. Sadly it didn’t hold up. It started rusting around the bottom rim a few months back and now that’s into the base as well. And the yellow is starting to show signs too. Before you ask, no it was never soaked or in a dishwasher, and used 1-2 times per month. Maybe this is normal for a metal colander, but I was hoping for years not months. (Original review at purchase time) Exactly what I wanted. Classic look, yellow pop of color, durable. The 5 is big so I got a smaller one in red. Otherwise, it’s a colander.

This is quite small. Perfect for single portions. Wish it was dishwasher safe, but it is easy to wash by hand. Love the sunny yellow color. I like yellow in a kitchen and it is difficult to find utensils and appliances in this warm, welcoming color.

The 3 quart blue colander is beautiful, but soon after using it to drain pasta, the inside enamel started to get tiny bubbles and then the coating proceded to come off around the holes. I didn't even use it very many times. Now it has rust around the holes. I am very unsatisfied with this product.

This is a handy strainer. but when I was a LOT younger and hadn't had this lesson to learn from, I ruined one of these by using it as a steamer. That enamel will not hold up to intense heat, it will discolor and eventually rust. But I learned and this is my plan, to hand wash it for the most part. I love the base, will stand without problem in the sink. The main reason I bought this other than I loved the style and I like the orange color. it's a good halfway orange, doesn't lean to yellow or red. ( I'm picky *L*) it's sturdy and It will no doubt last for years, as I have multiple steamer types and won't be tempted. but for now, it's a fruit bowl *L*

Brightly colored, good balanced weight, sized for small batches. Purchased to replace a 1950s blue enamelware strainer I had inherited from inlaws that *had just started to rust* at the base!!!! I guess they were made well then, some of the reviews about early rusting of this item is concerning, but time will tell

It’s beautiful

Wow! What a great punch of true crayon color orange just for fun:) The shiny silver handles and trim really add to the Happy! Don’t think will be using it to drain any… anything. It is very small. I like it. Kind of expensive for - well. If you need a colander, you may need more than 1 quart. Does appear to be sturdy and durable and is probably - well - tricky to clean. Most colanders are. They - um - have a lot of little holes…. If I had any sense I’d return it. I really need a .. No matter. I wonder how many reviews I have written where I ponder out loud: when will I begin to read item descriptions and admit the possibility that numbers really do count and that size might be as important, or even more important. than all the pretty colors. Sigh. The bright little orange colander will look great just sitting … next to my brave little yellow toaster … Put a can of soda next to orange for reference. Seems to help.

Pequena. Mas, lindo!!

Ware top und schnell erhalten. Gerne wieder!

A ce prix, je considère que c'est une arnaque, car cette passoire n'est pas ergonomique. Le nettoyage se fait difficilement à cause des vis de maintien des poignées

Super tiny bit what pictures show at all. Smaller then 2 cups and now I’m reading it will rust. Great! Maybe look for a better more practical strainer.

Works well for washing small servings of fruit or vegetables. Glad to have it as a “go to”!
