Original Suzanne Somers Thigh Master

As stated in my reviews of the two Thighmaster VHS tapes I purchased, this gives you aerobics, toning, and a good workout.I used this in the early 90's to shed pounds, tone up and get more strength in my arms and legs. I lent it to a friend after Iwas back in shape and have been looking for the Thighmaster and tapes for a long time. So happy I found them becausethis works areas that my Airdyne and Pilates chair don't.

As other reviews stated, the item arrived loose in a shipping box, no packaging, instruction manuals, etc. At first it seemed like a nifty little gadget, but after about two weeks' use, it started squeaking in the middle and it looks like the ball is coming apart. The rubber is also really slippery, so it doesn't stay between my thighs unless I hold it there with my hands. I gave it three stars because it still works the thighs, you just have to manipulate it a little to get it where it needs to be.

This was initially a good product, and strong enough for me. I would probably buy a similar product, but made of some stronger metal, because this one broke after a set of more active and quick moves, which it was probably not designed for. It should be good enough for a beginner, but if you plan on squeesing it more than 50 times per set, i guess it may break just like mine did.

What a rip off! The second one I've purchased, this one as bad as the first, and 5 times the price. It looks authentic on the Amazon ad, but its a mock up put in an old authentic box from the original - what a great idea to deceive customers. This junk is so tight I can't possibly use it. I thought it was just me, but several friends are fire fighters and body builders and it was a struggle for them to use. I even tried using bubble wrap to pad it, but its a useless piece of junk. I gave it a rating because I couldn't submit without it, but it should be rated zero. If I had the time to dig for a refund I would, but these sellers have air-tight cases against refunds.

I bought the Suzanne Somers brand because the ratings were much better than the other brands. However, I think I got a cheaper brand at the higher Suzanne Somers cost. The thigh Master name was not on the item (as shown in the picture) but a white mailing sticker was slapped on it with the Suzanne Somers name typed on it. Worst of all - it squeaks every time it is squeezed. So I believe I paid more for an inferior, annoying product

I was under the impression that the thigh master was new. I didn't know that it was older, but had never been used. I also didn't know that I wasn't purchasing it new from Amazon.I am giving it as a gift and if the recipient has a problem with it I don't know how do handle this. Hopefully that won't happen.

I had one of these a million years ago, lost it and just bought a new one. It still does the job. It keeps you occupied while watching tv. It's pretty versatile, in that you can do your arms and chest also. It's not a replacement for a regular workout, just something to have around instead of just being a lazy zombie while watching the boob tube.

Ok I really wanted this product, because I had one years ago and it worked. The only thing I didn't like was it was shipped in the box with nothing on it but the address label, so everyone in my neighborhood got to see my thighmaster. Not cool. Yes I laughed, but I would prefer it to be covered up.
