Nyko Intercooler Stand - Cooling Attachment with Short USB Power Cord for Xbox One

The wait was worth it, this is a great item at a great price. I got mine release day and it has been running great ever since.I am impressed at how easy the install was, and how well the fit is with the XBOX One. I have a feeling the delays may have been getting this exactly right, because it's just done so well. Note, though, that most of the body is matte black, only the edging behind the "chrome" is that glossy finish like the console. That said, it's a benefit IMO, as it doesn't just act like a fingerprint/dust magnet like the slicker finish.The "chrome", however, is the only iffy thing - there was the slightest little imperfection in mine, which wasn't enough to bother me visually but made me realize it's just sort of painted on there so I wouldn't be surprised if the most common "flaw" found over time was this chipping off. Just noting this in case it matters to you - this didn't affect my score because I'm fine with it, this is a $25 product, if it was $50 or $75 I'd expect something more. I'm sure most will stay/look fine, and mine looks fine - I just noticed when I was unpackaging it and I realized folks might want to be careful when handling that area.Connecting is really a breeze, you move the "lock" on the front to "unlock", place it on the console (it just naturally slides right into place) and then move the "lock" to "locked". You can feel it clamp down, and it's extremely sturdy. It doesn't give a centimeter (again a good thing). I was afraid I was going to have to pull out the console to plug in the USB, but the odd USB connector is so perfect that this also could be a reason it took so long - just to get this so right.The fan attaches to the USB port with a non-flexible plastic L-shaped "hook" which hugs around the back, and at the end of the "L" is a very short cord with another hard-plastic L-shaped USB connector. It's so perfectly measured that all I had to do was press on the side of the L and it literally just slid into the USB slot on the first try. (Though, note it can only go in the TOP USB port in the back, though it leaves the other one free for use.) I really was skeptical looking at the rather complex looking connector, but it connected so easily and makes so much sense once you see it hooked up.Once installed, it started working rather quickly. Although I originally rolled my eyes at the XBOX One's media capabilities, I've since found them pretty amazing and designed my whole system around it, so my system runs quite a bit beyond gaming. So my machine tends to run a bit warmer than someone who just plays games here and there and nothing else. Sitting two feet away I could hear it come on the first time, but mostly because I was sitting so close and simply the movement of the air made noise in a quiet, open area. In normal use there is no noticeable noise at all, even at lower volume levels.I did notice at first that it would switch on and off in succession - I assume that's when it's just hovering around whatever the target temp is that turns it on. Again, only really noticed this when testing when I first got it and was two-feet away, haven't noticed it really since. When I pass by I check it and I can feel the air being blown out when it's on, otherwise I wouldn't know it was on even at low volume levels.Not everyone is going to need this, but it is exactly what I needed. I was ready to move my XBOX One into a more permanent place in my entertainment center, but I was concerned about heat since I had found the XBOX One did emit a decent amount of heat out of the top since it was so often in operation, and I was also concerned about blowing dust all around, there and my other equipment. That's what is so great about this model, because it shoots the hot air OUT forward instead of up or even back. This means any dust is blown out of the entertainment center, and will land on the floor where it will just get vacuumed up. Because that area can get so dusty on it's own, this was a huge plus for me and keeps me from being so concerned about that top vent, which I had been since I got the system.Very recommended, I can't say "everyone must buy now" because you may not need it, but I certainly don't think it hurts, it looks good, and again, even if you don't worry about heat it keeps debris out of that top vent, which is a huge plus. Sure, I could have gone for a few more features - adjustable temp, a little snazzier finish, etc. - but I wouldn't expect that at this price point, and I'm glad they just made a solid, functional device that looks good at an inexpensive price.

Very pleased with this unit. I bought it in conjunction with the side model they make and in concert with each other they are very good. Installation is very simple, as it's a place and lock-in style with a tab on top that will lock in or unlock to detach the unit from the box. The USB connection is form fitted so that will give you a idea right away where it needs to sit when you lock it in place. Follow the instructions. It's designed nicely and doesn't look out of place on the box. ▶️Noise Level---Barely Noticeable, and if your like me with Turtle Beaches on, what Noise, except that of your Guns Blazing lol. Even if your watching a Movie or Netflick, YouTube whatever, still it's noise level is barely noticeable. ▶️Operation: No buttons, it's direct power connection via USB on the back, and uses a temp sensor to determine ON/OFF operation and will cycle of the temp drops enough.It will continue operation of the XBOX is turned off, however... Only until the Temp Sensor has reached its shutdown point, takes about 5-7 minutes, depending on how long the box was on. After which it will not power back on until it senses enough rise in temperature. ⏺Note: there is a smaller cooling unit on the market that fits on the back side of the box where all the priority connections are housed, where this top unit will derive its power from. If you are currently using that smaller backside model, and buy this one, you will have to discontinue using the smaller one, as the THIS model's USB hook up will not line up properly as its intended, unless you rig it to work another way.➡️All in All, it works great, and I'm happy to have it helping to make my Xbox last a long time!

Reason for purchase: My Xbox is tucked away on a shelf on my entertainment center and it doesn't have a lot of room to breathe. After extended use the fan was continually running and you could feel the heat building up on the Xbox.Installation: Extremely easy. Simple plug-n-play with perfect fitPerformance: Amazing. The fan works by pushing the hot air from the Xbox away from the area. When I put my hand in front of the fan you can feel it's working and my Xbox runs at much lower temperatures. The fan speed is not very loud either, when you have the volume on your tv on you really can't hear the fan at all. Even if nothing is playing the fan is not bothersome at all, it's no louder than your house a/c.Cons: NoneWrap up: If your Xbox is in any sort of tight space I would highly recommend that you get this product. I can't really speak for if your Xbox has plenty of room to breathe, but I think it could still be worth it

So far so good. The noise is there, however, not noticeable.In detail, I bought this unit with the desire to block dust from raining on my giant block. And, although there's plenty of spacing in my media setup, having more ways to allow heat to escape is never a bad thing. So, this unit serves that purpose very well. I've gone through almost a week of "heavy use" with continuous usage, game/moves...win 10 streaming?. Anyway, it's great and can feel the heat being released with some force. The noise is also not too bad.The noises: Folks complained but let's put some things into context: 1) how does this compare to a power rig with 9x fan? It's like a mouse vs an elephant, this unit being the former 2) I have a sound bar, nothing fancy with insane sub/bass output nor am I deaf with the volume to max. Standing up close, or 10-15 feet away I cannot hear the fan noise from this unit 3) ambient noise from my apartment, ie. normal talking,cooking,neighbors...again cannot hear this unit's fan. So, it's very quiet in this perspective. I will admit, however, you're gonna hear something if my home theater setup was meant to be church quiet. But seriously? if you want that level of quiet, YOU WILL HEAR THE XBOX's STOCK FAN REGARDLESS.

I have had this for about 3 years now and it has not let me down. I originally got it because my Xbox one was in a self and the only way for the air to escape was through the front and all the other coolers that have a similar design exhausted the air towards the rear. It takes up one USB port in the back, attaches within seconds and pushes all the hot air forward. My Xbox had overheated (and crashed) while I was playing a few very graphic heavy games for about 5+ hours, since I got the Nyko Intercooler I have NEVER had that problem.It is also a nice slick look that seems a natural fit to the Xbox

Ich habe mir diesen Lüfter für meine XBOX One bestellt und bin äußerst zufriedenDer Versand erfolgte mit Amazon Prime wie gewohnt schnell und zuverlässig.Meine XBOX steht so, dass eigentlich die Lüfter alle frei sind und sie gut kühlen kann, doch trotzdem hatte ich es des öfteren, dass nach einer Spieldauer von mehr als einer Stunde leichte Performance Probleme auftraten. Spiele blieben mitten drin stehen, oder die XBOX hing sich auf. Mir wurde dieser Lüfter empfohlen weil andere Leute ähnlich Probleme hatten.Ich bin zwar nur ein Gelegenheitsspieler (1 mal alle zwei Wochen höchsten) aber dann jedes Mal die Probleme, das war mir auch zu blöd.Also habe ich mir den Lüfter gekauft und bin froh diese Entscheidung getroffen zu haben.Das anschließen ging ohne Probleme und hat keine 10 sek. gedauert. Aufsetzen, positionieren, Kabel dran, Fertig.Der Lüfter schaltet sich automatisch nach einiger Zeit an, schätzungsweise wenn die XBOX eine gewisse Temperatur erreicht hat, und geht nach dem ausschalten der XBOX ebenfalls nach einiger Zeit aus, wenn die XBOX genug abgekühlt ist.Das Summen des Lüfters könnte zwar etwas leiser sein, aber es ist nicht zu störend.Seit dem Kauf hatte ich keine Performance Probleme mehr und alles funktioniert reibungslos.Ich kann diesen Lüfter nur empfehlen, denn knapp 34€ sind vollkommen akzeptabel um dafür ein störfreies Spielerlebnis zu haben

La verdad tenia mis dudas sobre el producto, en cuanto la temperatura del xbox empieza a subir el ventilador se enciende, no es para nada ruidoso y aunque tampoco logra mantener muy frio el xbox si que le ayuda bastante a regular su temperatura y en sesiones muy largas de juego (digamos mas de 5 horas) el aire que sale a traves del enfriador esta muy caliente, es una compra muy recomendada mas si estas en zonas calusoras como en la que yo vivo aqui la temperatura promedio es de 35° llegando incluso a mas de 40° en las epocas mas calurosas de mayo y junio. El envio ruper rapido y muy bien empacado.

Pues eso ajusta a la perfección, hace su trabajo al 100% osea saca todo el calor incluso cuando apagas la consola,etccc yo lo recomiendo 100% eso si su hermano menor de la misma marca,etcc osea el disipador de la xbox 360 no ajusta tan bien como este, saludos.
