A handy and easy-to-use BP monitor with nice features.
This unit is designed for use on the left wrist, which means that any wristwatches or other jewelry must be removed. Since most of us are right-handed, I can only assume this was designed by a left-handed engineer. At all events, it's easy to use by simply placing it on the wrist, securing the Velcro strap and pressing a button. To get a second reading for confirmation, however, it must be turned off and re started, which is easy to do and probably makes as much sense as designing a circuit that would repeat a measurement without the on-off procedure. We've not confirmed the readings by comparing with a traditional arm cuff, etc., but the readings seem to be in the expected range, which is really the goal of making sure one's pressure is not too high or too low. Since it's new, I can't comment on its durability, but it appears relatively well-made, and the price is reasonable. First saw one of these compact models at our dentist's office, but not the same brand. Have tried it on the right wrist with similar readings to those on the left. Experiment to see if that works for you.

In summer easy to use because I hang out in tee shirt
Caveat: I am not an employee nor a relative of an employee of OMRON or Amazon.com. Nor a friend of any person working for those two companies. I don't know anybody who works for those companies. I have successfully use OMRON monitor arm cuffs for over 5 years.Am 77 year old male with congestive heart failure. Had stroke in 2010 and have used Omron HEM-712C arm blood pressure monitor since then. In summer easy to use because I hang out in tee shirt. But in winter I have to take off heavy sweat shirt or two to be able to use arm cuff. Just went to buy new arm cuff. Noticed that Omron had a wrist monitor. So bought one. Just got it. It was easy to install batteries, set date and time and with their easy to use Getting Started guide. Was able to get very accurate blood pressure and heart rate reading much quicker than with the arm monitor.Once the wrist monitor squeezes its cuff to a point above the systolic level it immediately displays results. That seems to be because it looks for the diastolic pressure as it squeezes the cuff. The arm monitor, after it reaches a point which is above the systolic pressure comes down slowly until it senses the diastolic pressure. That normally takes around 30 seconds. Then it displays results. I also like the screen layout saying Sys, Dia and Pulse/min. Nice touch. 'No more arm cuff testing for me..The Omron BP629 is perfect for taking blood pressure/heart rate year round.. It is easy to use. Recommend it to anyone who, like me, has to check their vitals twice a day. Amazon had the best price and free shipping. I also recommend Amazon.com. At least check them out for any purchase even if the competition beats them. I only found one company that beat one of their prices in the past 4 years. Thanks for reading.

Inexpensive, easy to use BP monitor
Easy to use, unsure about the accuracy until I take it with me to my next doctor's visit. Works on both left and right arms and generally the readings are the same. Very fast, no fuss use. It is my understanding that the wrist monitors are not as accurate as the old school manual, inflatable, upper ar monitors - but I found with my old school upper arm monitor - it was hard to use and results could fluctuate by 20 points by moving the cuff 1/2" one way or another. I found myself avoiding using the old cuff because I dreaded getting it on, positioned, etc. With this wrist monitor - its a no brainer, slap it on a wrist, sit still, place your arm/wrist over your heart and start the monitor - 10-15 seconds later you have results. I also like this one gives an average BP of the last 3 readings if taken within the last 10 minutes. This device is inexpensive, and has a nice feature set, without overcomplicated features I do not need.I will report back on accuracy after my next doctor visit.

Best Price for a Great Product.
I had an Omron 7 arm cuff reader, but it died after 2 1/2 years. It wouldn't pump up the arm cuff anymore. However, that was with heavy usage and being carried back and forth between work.I decided to get a wrist cuff reader when I noticed all my doctor's offices using the Omron wrist cuff. The reader is precise and compact. It even comes with a hard case which will, hopefully, keep it from being damaged when traveling.I highly recommend Omron to anyone. When I give my doctor's my home blood pressure numbers, the first question they ask is what brand of product I use. Anytime I say Omron, they know it's correct.I shopped around for the best price. I debated on going with one that has the bluetooth technology. However, my glucometer has bluetooth but I have to go into the app, and wait for it to sync. I've found it's just as easy if not easier to just enter the numbers into my Health app on my iPhone. So, if you don't need the bluetooth technology, this is the best price for the Omron wrist blood pressure monitor. I shopped all places that normally have it cheaper and this was by and far the cheapest price.
