Nice All Purpose Watch
It fits nice with a large but not to large face. The strap is like a braided plastic material that seems very durable. The ends of the band is leather with a fish imprint and "Fish"on the other end. The features that it has are useful and easy to read and get to. To set it up was simple and the area of putting in the lat, n long., I had a set back cause of the government "Shutdown" but got it close enough. It is an all out nice looking and feeling watch. I haven't got to test the fish numbers out to see if there actuate but will do.

Love it
This watch is so complicated that, though I am tech oriented, I haven't yet figured it all out. It also functions just as a time-keeper and alarm, which is why I bought it. I also think it's attractive. The major advantage it has over other Casio's I've owned is the band. The rubber ones just don't last. This one is a thick, sturdy, cloth. I expect it hold together for a long time, but we'll see.Glad I got it.

Good, solid watch, with many features
The way I usually end up needing a new wristwatch is that my old watch gets lost or stolen. This being the case, I've never seen any reason to get a really expensive, high-end timepiece. And the fact is, you can get some pretty sturdy, reliable, and useful watches for under $100 -- even under $50 -- if you shop around a bit. No one watch design has ever had all of the features I want, implemented the way I would like them, but Casio has consistently come the closest, and I've never actually had one of their watches fail -- they just get lost or stolen. :)The AMW700B Fishing Watch is very similar to another Casio model I've owned for four years, the AMW700 Hunting Timer. both watches use the same movement, and have essentially the same features: one features an orange/black color scheme with little paw-print icons (the hunting indicator), the other has a blue/black color scheme and little fish (the fishing indicator). This review is partially based on my experiences with that earlier watch, though I have no reason to doubt that the Fishing Timer will perform similarly, and indeed, so far it has.PROS:* This is the most accurate watch for under $50 I've even owned. The manual says +/- 30 seconds per month, but mine has stayed within 2 minutes per year.* Analog and digital watches in one unit* Digital and analog times, once set, stay in sync. This unusual in D/A watches, and probably due to the analog hands being driven by a digital "stepper" motor, rather than a continuous analog drive.* Real mineral crystal, not plastic; resists scratches.* Not a diver's watch, but it has good water resistance, and will survive dunking in a kitchen sink, or when netting a fish, just fine* Feature loaded: analog time; digital time; dual time; DST feature; month/date/weekday calendar; stop watch with splits; countdown timer; three alarms that can be set for time -and- specific date; moon phase indicator; fish feeding indicator (hence "Fishing Timer")* Battery life is phenomenal. The face proclaims "10 year battery"; I don't know about 10 years, but I've had my Hunting version of this watch for over four years, and I've never had to replace the battery.* Good solid feel and tight construction; comes with a leather band (a bit small, as others have noted), but I replaced with a stainless steel diver's band.* Luminous hands and nightlightCONS:* Minute hand hovers over digital display. My biggest complaint with 98% of all analog/digital combination watches is that they have the digital face located where the analog hands pass directly over it. This watch is no exception: for 20 minutes of every hour -- one third of the day -- the minute hand obscures part of the digital display. Why do they do this?* Dial is side-lit by orange LEDs. Position and color are unfortunate; unless you're in complete darkness, the light is virtually useless. No light falls on the digital display, and the analog hands are silver and very hard to see in the dim light as well. Several things could have been done to fix this: - making the hands white would have made them -much- more visible, both day and under the LEDs - using an LED color the eye is more sensitive to -- white, or green -- would also improve visibility. - best choice would be a back-lit face, similar to the Timex "Indiglo" technology. In any case, there's room for improvement here.* Many of the digital displays are tiny; if you're over 30 you may need to have your reading glasses on to use them.As a bonus, the watch comes with an actual /printed manual/ (remember those?) which, although the size of a book of postage stamps, is astonishingly thick. Programming instructions are pretty straightforward, but you may want your reading glasses for the manual, too.Overall, this is a good watch, and one of my favorites. If they improved the lighting I'd give it five stars.Recommended.

A watch for the outdoorsperson.
Awesome. I use it in a lot of harsh environment from fresh water, to swampland, into the ocean and through high humidity temperature changes. It doesn't fog up, the band is very resilient, not discolorations on the watch and it keep on running. The only downside is that I am beginning to have problems seeing the small details on the watch. No fault to Casio. I am just getting older. Any chance you make a larger or pocket watch version?? If you do, I'll buy it.

Casio AMW700B
I bought my husband this for our 5th year anniversary. I actually bought two different watches. He really like this one. He said it does run small on the wrist. He has a small wrist so beware if you have a medium to large wrist. Band made of good leather. Looks great on him. To watch maker, make band longer. All features on watch worked as promised. Would recommend.

Junk
I have always had good luck with Casio watches, I bought this watch to replace a ten year old Casio watch that's on its last leg, the ten year old watch still works and this watch stopped working after three months.Casio has contacted me and wants me to pay shipping, handling and insurance so they can replace the battery in my watch that is about three (3) months old and supposedly has a ten (10)year battery in it. I told them it would be cheaper for me to put a battery in it and they should just ship a replacement battery to me, I was told how complicated it was to replace a battery in a watch. Boy, I make jet engines for a living and I'm not capable of changing a battery now.I will not buy a Casio watch again because they no longer stand by their product.

... a Casio Pathfinder watch which I lost that I liked better than this one
I had a Casio Pathfinder watch which I lost that I liked better than this one. This one does all of the same things that one did, but the digital section on the bottom is too small to easily see. The illumination is also very poor, but as I intend to use it for kayak fishing during daylight...that isn't important to me. But, the price was right, it's water resistant, and it has the fishing mode which generally works when the watch is set up properly, so the watch works for me on the kayak. The manual is very small, and it's also hard to keep your page when you are trying to set up the watch while reading it at the same time. I suggest using the "online" manual which makes setup much easier. http://mygshock.com/casio-manual/3768/2

Great watch. The only downside is the digital display
Great watch. The only downside is the digital display. It's a little small, kind of hard to see at a glance. Other than that, overall a great watch. I'm happy with my watch. And as always Amazon's delivery was above expectations! Thanks for the great service!

Good all around watch
I Suggest going to Casio.com for the operation guide as the original mini book that comes with the watch is very small. Read it first then follow the steps. Over all it is a great little time piece, but the digital potion is hard to read in low light.

Fast shipping and excellent packaging. The Leatherman tool feels very premium and sturdy.
