Children learn best when they're having funโand this phonics summer learning workbook is all fun and games! Review: Perfect for My 4 Year Old Grandson - Fun way for a young child to learn sound and symbol/letter associations. An adult needs to help the child go through the book, so this is not an independent undertaking for a young child to tackle without adult guidance. Review: Very good workbook - I have enjoyed working with my son on this workbook. He has learned a lot using all the workbooks in this series. The activities all keep his attention and were easy to follow along. The very colorful pages keep it interesting and he likes the "progress star chart" in the front. He can see how much he has accomplished and it makes him feel good. Highly recommended

Great if you help out
I really like doing this workbook with my son. One of the best features is the list of activities by number in the front. This gives us a chance to celebrate each completed activity and see our progress through the workbook. I used stickers that I already had for my son to mark his progress but you could use a stamp or just color/ draw a check if that works for you. I also really like the colors and pictures. These made learning fun. The level of difficulty with some of the activities is a bit confusing though. Most of the activities are great but there are a few that I donโt understand how any kid just starting to learn phonics could do on their own. For example, how could a child spell โprincessโ in a crossword when the phonics โCโ page just did the hard C sound? It was especially weird since the purpose of the page was to practice the โPRโ blend. I had to tell my son what letters to write for that activity. Overall, I would recommend this book for a pre-reader starting to learn phonics. I just would recommend that you work with your child as some of the activities will be too difficult for a child who is benefiting from the letter sounds practice in the first half if the book.

Solo como refuerzo
El libro pasa de lo mas sencillo a lo mas complejo en muy poco tiempo. Es para ser usado como refuerzo de alg'un otro programa mas detallado.
