My order looked suspicious
Looking at the item packaging when I received it, I noticed that it looked like one end flap of the packaging appeared that it might have been opened and then re-sealed. But, the inner bag around the cartridge seemed to be intact, so I kept the cartridge. Once installed, there didn't appear to be any problems with the cartridge or ink. Sort of wondered if the package had been tampered with, or if some counterfeit cartridge might have been inserted in a "recycled" OEM package, but the cartridge itself seems to be fine. Anyway, the concern led me to reduce the product rating.

Great product. Fast service. Great pictures
Bought this product because it is made for the printer I have. I didn't want to chance the quality of my pictures on a product not specified for my printer. Am very happy with this purchase. Great product, great pictures.

The ink word, just check the expiration date
The ink work. When you get it check the expire date. I got one that the ink was dried up. But it did what I need for to do with the price that I paid.

Kodak refuses to honor their warranty
I got a brand new, completely empty replacement cartridge. Was purchased 6 months earlier as I always buy a new spare when I install my previous spare. I contacted Kodak customer service as I believe a brand new empty cartridge is a defect that should be replaced under Kodak's claimed one year warranty. Kodak's customer service refused to acknowledge that the brand new empty cartridge was the problem. Doing the head cleaning their troubleshooting script readers insisted on caused print quality to drop, so they decided that the problem was too much cleaning of the print head. The print quality didn't actually drop until after I ran the cleaning they insisted upon, but they clearly had no intention of admitting the original problem was the defective cartridge. Now I can forgive any company for having a defective part make it out to the public once in awhile. What I cannot forgive is their customer service department refusing to correct the problem, and for damaging my printhead by demanding I run a cleaning while the printhead had dry ink lines. Kodak has made it clear to me that they have no intention of making this right. I'm not about to spend even more money purchasing a replacement printhead from the company that destroyed the original one, so I've already scrapped out my old Kodak printer and replaced it with an Epson. Before I retired I worked in technology, and I've serviced numerous printers in my time. I've never had a company so blatantly decide to screw over the customer as Kodak has done here.

Extended color ink cartridge
The Kodak ESP 3.2 printer works as well as any other printer I have ever owned. But don't believe the hype about saving lots of money on ink cartridges. The standard cartridges, in my experience, last about 3-4 weeks. The extended cartridges last almost three months (10 weeks) . This rate of ink consumption is about average for any printer I've ever owned, and at the end of the day you'll still spend about $50 for ink cartridges. The wireless is nice and works well, and it does what a printer should, but don't expect to save lots of money by not having to buy ink cartridges very often.

Always buy the original
I have purchased knock off versions of ink cartridges, and they never come close to the original when it comes to quality. Kodak is no different. They originally advertised this series of printers as being the lowest cost for ink, but somehow this all got lost in translation. They are no longer cheap on the ink side. The quality of the printers is there. The ink cartridges are pricey, and if you don't buy the XL versions, you will be buying more ink sooner... It just makes sense to spend a little bit more to get a lot more ink... If only they could actually stick to the original mantra of low cost ink for their printers...

It works!
Pricey, but Kodak ink is the only type that will work in my printer. The XL size is the best deal. Great color for pictures.
