Very poor and unregulated LED's.
Poor light. Worse company. This is an expensive VIDEO light. As anyone who shoots video knows, 'Color Temperature and Balance' is extremely important when shooting quality video. Call up Light & Motion and ask them what the Color Temperature of this light is....and, they'll tell you 'they don't know because they do NOT regulate the LED's that are used in their manufacture. One LED could be 6000K, while the other LED could be 3200K. This is one of the ONLY lights in which you have NO idea as to what the color temperature of the light is. If you want a quality light, this is NOT it.

Plastic Hardware - Poor Customer Service - Uncaring Company Owners
- Comes with plastic attachment hardware.- Poor customer service.- Uncaring company owners and representatives -- Met them in person at a professional industry function.- The screw provided to attach the lamp to a Sola hand-mount or camera mount is plastic and broke off during installation.- Sola representative were unwilling to fix or replace the lamp despite repeated discussion regarding my product loyalty and their choice of utilizing plastic hardware.- Company would not take any responsibility for their decision making.

The good news is that I have since switched to Big ...
I have several, various L&M products in the Sola line and it's the last Sola I will ever buy.1) They use proprietary batteries that are not user serviceable or replaceable. That means when the battery is done, it's done until you charge it. you can't open it, swap batteries and back in the water.2) The batteries for the smaller lights are about $100 to get replaced. Batteries for this light are considerably more expensive.3) Replacing the batteries entails shipping them back to L&M or taking them to your local store who will, in turn, ship them back to L&M.4) Their "gold" contacts used to charge are, in reality, gold plated. This gold plating wears off and corrosion build up, making charging - Hmmm... "interesting". You have to keep removing the corrosion or you won't get a contact and be able to charge them. The good news is that I have since switched to Big Blue lights and I'm sure there are other manufacturers out there. They utilize 18650/26650/32650 or packs made up of them (e.g. 4x18650). Those batteries can be bought elsewhere along with chargers/etc. If a battery dies, well, I can get a 32650 for about $15 shipped, plus, I always carry a couple of spares (various sizes).L&M shot themselves in the foot. I used to be a loyal L&M customer but they have seen the last of my $.

BAD PRODUCT, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I bought a pair of these lights for a GoPro camera. I had them for about 3 months and took them on about 20 dives before one of them began malfunctioning. The light would turn off randomly, even though it was fully charged.I contacted Light and Motion about the problem. First they suggested it might be user error. After I convinced them it was a malfunctioning light they said they would REPAIR the light. In other words, I would have a REFURBISHED light even though I paid for a new light. I told them I would prefer to have a new light rather than a refurbished light, but they wouldn't budge. Eventually, I accepted the repair, but that will be the last time I deal with this company. BAD PRODUCT, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!
