I like that this pattern has pockets.
Love this style. Haven't had a chance to work with it yet. Will do so when I get my sewing station back in order.

Darling Dress Pattern
I've never sewn a dress with princess seams before and was a little nervous to try. This dress turned out to have a lovely fit (after small adjustments). I made it from some thrifted blue calico, and it reminds me of some of the dresses I've seen on the Modcloth site. Easy directions too.

Great source for patterns
I had so much fun making this dress. Size runs small so make sure you size the paper before you cut fabric. The sewing pattern showed up in a timely manner, well packaged.

Not For Beginner Sewers
This dress features a french seam bodice, along with a slightly gathered skirt, zipper, etc. There are a lot of seams to get lined up perfectly. The instructions are a joke. I would have been lost if I was a beginner sewer. If you are a beginner, you may want to choose another pattern. This one is not worth the effort.

Wish me luck, I have no idea how to read patterns but so far it looks ok.
I've messed about with altering garments for a lifetime but never actually made one from scratch so this is my first pattern.Having a read it mostly makes sense to me so thank heavens for that!Close inspection says to me that the fullness of the skirt will be a bit less than I would like so I'm figuring how to fix this having ordered a bit more extra fabric.Hopefully I will end up with the first ever army camo 50's dress? Lol!
