Is there a difference between the long and extra long grain rice. I got sent the long grain rice but on the picture it says extra long?

I see on the back of pgk the ingredients listed as enriched long grain and at the top of the back of pkg states extra long grain. I don't now why. But, the Zatarain's parboiled rice is the best rice I have ever had. beats Uncle Ben's.

How long will this keep in stoage ?

It has a two year shelf life. But these are just a rough estimate. This kind of product stored properly, to exclude moist air. Would remain fresh well beyond that. And edible for decades. Freshness dates don’t mean the product self districts past that date. Bananas, lettuce, fish yes. Rice in an air tight package is good for a looooonng time.

What is the glycemic index?
