Spectra Premium Spectra Classic Fuel Tank VW2B

Note that tank comes unpainted & needs to be THOROUGHLY rinsed out with acetone or similar.But the tank itself is superior to most others -- but it's not "drop in and drive."

This fuel tank has been being used for 5 years now and is still working great. I would buy again if needing to. I live in Wisconsin and everything rusts away like big time..

Tank fit well. I did have to cut the pointy corners off like other people have said, but it's really not that big of a deal to address. Otherwise the tank is a perfect replacement for my old rusty one.

We installed this in a 1973 VW Beetle (not Super-Beetle)....it was an "Exact Replacement". Originally I tried a gas tank sealant, which was a big. All it did was gum up my fuel system. Installed this tank after cleaning everything again (yes the carb again), and no problems. I did paint the tank black like the factory one, but other than that it was perfect.I never used a tank sealant before, but don't waste your time. Buy new and be done with it.

The tank does not come with the screen, it does not fit properly , it sticks up . The edges are sharp where gloves, you will get cut.

This tank arrived intact and fit perfectly into a standard 1973 Beetle. My daughters friend gave it a coat of undercoating which he let dry before installing. It solved the problem - the old tank had rusted inside due to sitting unused for too long. This tank and the seller are highly recommended.

Could not be happier with this tank. Packing and shipping were top rate as well. Replaced a leaking tank in a '74 VW Thing.

tank was fine but outlet tube had poor weld and broke on installing. I spoke to Spectra in Canada but was advised that they don't supply that part and I should contact amazon for new one. But as tank was already installed I reused my old outlet tube asm, that got me running . So tank is fine but poor output tube assembly.

Perfect fit. Exactly as advertised.
