Fantastic Compression Tights
This is a fantastic pair of recovery tights, which do considerably reduce my (perceived) recovery time. They also give me a reason to wear leggings... because they're not leggings, they're recovery tights. Way different.Whatever method that Zoot uses to blend the fabric in certain areas (e.g. knees, thighs, calves) is fantastic and super comfortable. Due being slightly thicker, they are really quite warm; however, they also keep their shape and compression far better than the competition. For instance, my UA Recharge Energy leggings are pretty much just a moisture-wicking base layer now. The only (slight) complaint that I have, other than how difficult they are to get on, is the foot stirrup. They are not terribly uncomfortable, but I typically role them up around my ankle.Argument for Compression Clothing:I'm not sure that I would use them during a run or a leg workout, but I do try to wear them for the following 24hrs. There is a considerable degree of debate on whether compression clothing improves recovery time. My opinion: they definitely do. Also, several National Institute of Health (the medical research of the government) studies have shown that they do improve your perceived recovery time (i.e. you aren't hobbling around with DOMS). Biopsies have generally shown little difference in muscle repair. However, compression clothing does still reduce inflammation and improve circulation. For the ladies, they also help prevent varicose veins. As for wearing them while exercising, science says they make no real difference; however, I know my calves (especially the soleus muscles) feel a thousand times better while/after running with compression sleeves. Thinking about it, I may try these during a (cold-weather) marathon.Influence of compression garments on recovery after marathon running.[...][...][...]

slightly small, took much time to learn to fit it properly
now that I have learned how to put it on, about once a week is all I want to deal with it, it is a chore to get dressed in it, think is way over priced and rated. The feet holes irritate my skin around the arches. I would not buy this brand again. I wear it a couple of hours and can't wait to take it off.

The Real Deal
This is a second pair for my wife, Ive used the original Recovery model tights for a couple years and love them.Proper measurement is critical, at least the calf and thigh are...don't sweat being a few inches off on the waist as it will stretch far more than the other areas.I have the Skins recovery/travel tights and they feel great but don't do much in the way of compression, best suited to travel and then only if you are careful to not let them bunch behind the knees. Also have some Saucony "recovery" tights and they are just like basic running tights, no more compression than that. The Zoot tights are the real deal, they are just fantastic. Getting them on is a chore, but after a few times doing it you learn the tricks and it takes me less than a minute now. They put the spring back in your legs quickly, just an hour is enough to get you feeling good again, more than 5 or 6 hours will really let you know you have been squeezed, I get a bit achy if I wear them too long.Used right these can keep you ready for another day out running or biking that might otherwise have been a mandatory rest day. Worth full price if you can't score a deal.

Excellant fit, constructability, and truest compression I've experince from such products
Uses for cycling, running, mtb, cross-train, prior to and after sport.Size; I am approx. 5' 9", bought and use a size medium and they fix extremely well.Other products I've used; various Skins compression tights and 2XU compression legging/sleevesI wont specifically comment on "if they work" as compression seems deeply debated. But these fit "extremely" tight, where they should; throughout the upper and lower leg with much forgiveness in the crotch/butt. The tightest part of compression gear I've ever owned. CAUTION, they are suppose to fit extremely tight, however, it is not uncomfortable as one might imagine. The compression to me feels comfortable and after they've been on for a while, I don't notice it.These tights stay in place. It is kind of a task to align the graded areas over your target muscles, the ovals/circles you see in the quads, knees and caves for example. However if you line them up as you are putting them on, its much easier than trying to readjust them after you have got them all the way on. I wish there was a bit more of "fit" in the top so they would have a feel and fit a pair of running tights or shorts.. hard to explain maybe im just weird like that.I've wash them several times, worn them several times. After some usage you do notice a little bit of constriction go away, however, not nearly as noticeable as I have experienced with Skins for example, to me however the compression is still there and beneficial.Cyclists and off road riders, probably one of the better compression garments for us as the they have great compression around the quad and thigh!!!My only true complaint is the foot loops. I've seen others mention it, but when utilized, it does feel uncomfortable as the fabric feels it is cutting into the foot/skin. Noticeably toward the back of the foot by the heal. To alleviate this, I simply pull the loop over and above my heal. I believe the foot loops are to help the garment stay in place... but for the most part these tights have so much compression, they still seem to stay motionless w/o the foot loop. Zoot, make the loop with less restriction.
