I have an older Kenmore dryer that suddenly stopped heating. Remember to UNPLUG the UNIT and/or turn off the dryer breaker switch. Tested all the usual suspects of sensors just removing connections and looking for continuity (hint: check sensors with voltmeter, low ohm setting. Use alligator clips attached to your voltmeter leads if you can... just to make it easier ) . Looked at the coil and after a while pressed down on a section that proved to be broken. The most difficult part of the repair was putting the tube back in that contained the coil housing. I had removed the tube to make it easier to remove the damaged coil. There is a little lip on the coil housing on it that must be inserted at "just the right angle" to be able to twist the unit back into position. So, if you don't have to remove the tube to get the old coil out, dont'! Long story short. Put new coil in. Plugged power back in. Works Great! Since some of the sensors are difficult to get to, you might want to start with just removing the connectors to the heating coil unit and making sure there is continuity. If the resistance is infinite (i.e., coil is broken) it should show up right away. However, it was good to get the heating coil with the sensors in one package ... just in case. As always, see if you can find a youtube video that details the troubleshooting steps and check the documentation for installation (if you have it) that came with you appliance.

Had a load in the dryer and a load being washed when the heating element failed. I immediately placed the order for a new one and they promised next-day delivery. It arrived when promised and I was able to install it and get the wet clothes dried by late afternoon. Installation was easy. The fit was right on. Quality seems good but it's hard to comment on that with any certainty until I see how long it lasts. Oh, and it was about 30% of the cost of the same unit from the Kenmore parts supply house.

It was easy to install, just simple plug and play. I was super excited when I turn my dryer on an it was working as laundry was backing up in our house. Then, after the first trial run, the load wasn't completely dry so I put them in again. It was at this time I noticed there was no heat at all in the dryer. So it worked for about 15 min. at most. Extremely disappointed to say the least.

First heating element didn't have consistent readings with my electrical meter, I installed it anyway, worked well for 1 load of laundry then didn't dry the next. Found the wire had a break in it. I notified the seller to return the product due to being faulty, I got the return tag and put it in the mail the next day. The day after that I received the replacement and has been working great! The seller fixed the issue very quickly and I am appreciative of their service & parts.

This was a great purchase it lasted about 3 months and had to purchase another one. It was easy to replace and the drying time was good, just was a cheaper material then the actual product used previously so it didn't last so long.

Bought in Nov, easy and quick swap. Died by June. Only 6 months, and now I have to buy another piece because I need it fast. Unhappy in having to purchase, again

Exactly as described and fit perfectly. It was easy to install once the dryer was disassembled!!Good value as it saved paying for a service call or worst case - a new dryer.

Worked fine and installation went without issue, however like many others who have bought this produce it failed after 6 months. Common failure point is where the coil is soldered to the terminal. Don’t buy it unless you like buying and installing new heat coils twice a year.
