Mario & Sonic Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games with Blue Wii Remote Plus - Wii U

Ok, so you are limited if you want to play games online with others. So what. The beauty of this was it was priced well... $50 for a new game and a Wii plus remote ($40 alone just for that or $20 reconditioned directly from Nintendo). The graphics are awesome. I know, I know it's not PS4 or Xbox One level, but excellent for a lower priced system.My 4 year old and 5 year old were able to quickly figure out how to play the games. I joined them too. I had fun. It's more fun than Mario 3D World because the games are competitive.What's also cool is all of the characters -many Mario franchise ones and the Sonic ones. 100% recommend!

Got my daughter a WiiU for Christmas, each of the grands got a controller but only got one that would work with Dance game! Ordered this since it seemed a good way to get another controller and the kids love the game. It arrived so quickly they didn't even have time to complain about having to take turns dancing! Great deal, great game, great seller!

Game is complicated, boring and requires lot of controller types

Having played the Vancouver 2010 and London 2012 olympic game titles on the original wii, I expected this game to be far superior due to the upgraded hardware and the wii u gamepad. It wasn't.It was still a fun game, and my children enjoy it, but don't expect a huge difference.The issues:1. The wii u gamepad is underutilized. For the most part you can completely dispense with it. On many games it simply serves the function similar to a news broadcast where the results are posted. For the few games where it is needed, it is great, but most games rely on the standard wii remotes with motion plus.2. It might be a new game, but the Olympic events are pretty much the same. Every Olympic isn't a completely new set of games, so that's understandable. The biggest changes come in the dream events where the game designers can run wild with their imagination. Those dream events are extremely fun, but they only represent a fraction of the game content.In the tradition Olympic events, there are some improvements like in figure skating where there are some additional movements you need to do and there are additional choices in music tracks to skate.OverallThis is the first Olympic game title on the wii u so its worth it to own. But the improvements to the classic wii games are more marginal than I expected for the increased gaming power of the console.

We bought this mainly for the remote but also thought the game looked like lots of fun. The blue remote is great and I'm glad I have it but we really didn't enjoy the game at all. We tried the Questions and Answers and it's a bunch of really short games that are hard to figure out. Every game requires different controllers so you're constantly switching controllers. Some require the nunchuck, some use the game pad and some don't. I think it would be fine switching back and forth if the games were more than about 1 minute long and actually fun to play. When you go from a game where someone is using the game pad to a motion plus controller it took us awhile to get the players set up again. I didn't see any way how this could end up being enjoyable for a party because everyone wouldn't be able to figure out the controls for the numerous short games. Party games should be much easier for people to understand, pick up and play or it just wont be fun for anyone. I think we tried one other mode and also didn't enjoy it so we just gave up. I've since sold the game and kept the remote. You'd be better off buying just the remote separately or another controller/game bundle such as wii party u w/ black controller or Nintendo land plus luigi remote. I'm shocked at how many 5 star reviews there are for this bundle!

My wife and I have played this many times and we're not even sure what's happening in about half of the games. The manual is non-existent, in-game instructions are unclear. That said, the price was right, the Wii Remote Plus is great, and a few of the games are very fun, if short. We treat it like a drinking game now and just have fun with how janky some of the games are.

Great deal considering the Wii Motion Plus controller by itself at Toys r Us is the same price as this game+controller package. I got this because my little brother got $20 and wanted to spend it at toys r us on the first thing he saw in there and I wanted to show him how he could more efficiently spend his money. So I put $25 in with him and now he has a new wii U game and a controller instead of some pokemon cards.As far as the game, I only really play smash bros and mario kart on the wii u but I did play this game when it came in the mail. Kids will definitely love it its a great game graphics look good, not as good as newer Wii U games but still in 1080p. When I was younger I played the first mario and sonic at the Olympic games I loved it so if you liked that youll like this. Plus the game is really free if you get the controller with it since the controller alone is the same price at Toys r Us. Always good to have an extra Blue controller around the house.

We were all huge fans of mario and sonic summer olympics, so naturally we wanted this when it came out. My kids love this game too. It is great fro family play. Also, love that it came with the wii remote controller. The blue color is a nice touch. This was a gift for my oldest son and he loves that he has his own unique controller.

Seller was excellent, made sure I received and was happy with my product.
