Metal loom just like mine from years ago
I wanted a metal look kit like the one I had in the 1950s which I would still be using if I could find it. This on is metal and sturdy and perfect. The only warning is that, in my opinion, it is overpriced. However, since I wanted durable metal, I chose it anyway and do not regret it.

Great quality metal loom and hook
I was very happy to see that this metal loom was available on Amazon. I had purchased and returned a plastic one from a big crafts chain store because it seemed cheap and the hook was a short plastic crochet hook. This one has a long metal hook, long enough to slide under all of the loops when weaving. The loom is very sturdy and feels good to hold. I used loops from Friendly Loom Lotta Loops and I highly recommend them - great colors, all cotton, and NONE of them were too short. Some people have complained that loops slide off of the loom. I didn't experience this - the prongs on the loom actually flare slightly out. Of course, the last side always pops off when finishing the edges (as they have since I first started making these in the 1950's), so I tried sliding the loops onto a chopstick to hold them in place (see photo - could have used a knitting needle or something similar). Worked like a charm!

Fun project and the hot pads work very well.
bought as a Christmas project. Some hand mobility/agility is required, which can be a problem for very young or very old. They result in a high quality product that works better than 90% of the hot pads out there. Huge hit with everyone who got the resulting hot pads as a Christmas stocking stuffer.

Get it and modify hook
It is a pretty good replica of the old fashion looms. Loom is sturdy, well built. I used cotton loops so there was no fear of melting in use. Weaving works well as expected but one can see the problem with the hook becoming troublesome. When finishing the ends it is very difficult with supplied hook. I made a new hook from stainless welding rod . New hook was much smaller radius and shorter return . This gives you a smaller hook to engage the "hook and pull thru" edge loops. Yes this loom as the old looms will allow the last side of loops to come off. Just have a friend help on the last hook and pull thru side. Start weaving. Grand kids loved it.

Peg alert
Read the 1 star reviews and be aware that when binding the edges, all the loops pop off the pegs on the final side before they can be contained. Very frustrating!! Another review said it helps to bend all the pegs outward, which I plan to do. Otherwise, it’s a sturdy, solid metal loom and less expensive than other brands. But buyer be aware of the peg issue, lower price is a trade-off.

Fun to use with kids.
Love this loom kit. Use it with my goddaughter and we’ve had a lot of fun with it. Quality is good and it’s easy to use. It’s a good size for adults and kids.

New and improved
This is a great potholder loom—I still have my ‘vintage’ loom from the 1960’s, and this new one is a much better design! Taught a granddaughter how to make potholders recently—we used my old loom and this new one life-by-side, and the prongs on this new one tilt out and keep the loops fastened on much better when the loops are being woven and the edges are being finished!

Sturdy metal loom
Exactly as described. A sturdy metal loom with a hook. No loops are provided, but at this price point it is hard to beat. Much better than similarly priced looms made of plastic.

Retour en enfance
Le métier à tisser est solide. Je me souviens d’en avoir utilisé un en maternelle, dans les années 80.
